Hello, I am a senior developer looking for team members interested in a long-haul, slow-burn project.

# PROJECT SCOPE

A digital spaceship designer and model builder.  Detailed, functional interiors and exteriors.

The project is an MVP: A spaceship building toy for PC, targeting PC Strategy Gamers.

Art content for this is focused on kitbash components that the player will utilize in building their own, custom ships.

# NON-GOALS

- **A game**:   This is a MVP: a ship builder toy.  If the project is even moderately successful, this will be the stepping stone towards a multiplayer, real-time fleet operations wargame.

- **Rush to market**:  Most the work right now is coding.  While I'm working on this full time, I do not expect others to commit to that schedule.

- **lots of content**:  the MVP will be focused on the bare minimum to release a compelling example of the project's future.

# TEAM NEEDS

The coding is done in Godot C#, and I am doing that.   These are the most critical skills I would like to see teammates fill:

- **3D Technical Artist**: create/edit models to meet technical needs.  This is an iterative process so raw artistic talent is less important than technical skill splitting meshes, labeling bones, uv layouts, etc.  A great degree of coordination between yourself and the dev team is required.

- **Graphics Dev (Godot Shader/Vfx)** While I am a skilled backend developer, I don't do graphics.  A graphics lead will help provide realism and immersion in the player's creations.

The above are the core roles that I feel are still needed to ensure this project is a success.  However if you feel that you have something else to offer, please do not hesitate to contact me.

While I am comfortable, capable and motivated to accomplish this on my own,  I am putting this post up to find those who wish to join me on the journey.

# PROJECT DIRECTION

For project direction, I am pretty set on the goals of the MVP.  If you have a compelling counter, I'll be willing to listen though.

One thing I'm totally open to is world building and asthetics.  If you have big dreams regarding these, here's the place to make it happen.

# REVENUE

Targeting a steam release, I am thinking a fairly low cost, in the area of $15.  I'm open to changes in this regard.    Best-luck popularity for an MVP like this could be estimated by looking at the sales estimates for a title like Space Engineers.  https://gamalytic.com/game/244850

# REVENUE SHARING

I would like to plan 75% of revenue to be paid out to teammates other than myself.

# RESOURCES

## website

I setup a basic site on itch: https://novaleaf.itch.io/untitled-starship-builder where progress will be documented and interest validated via it's analytics.

I will update this and/or the itch devlog periodically as I progress.

## project management

a taiga.io site is setup for task management (Kanban+Wiki)

## GDD

no GDD currently exists.  It's something we can work towards through collaboration and research.

this is also happening on windows, so unfortunately it's just broken :(

oh that's great, we don't know how to use it much, so thank you for the great tip!  we'll give that a try

okay, I think the "always on top" option is super important, as it's the first thing my daughter asked about so she can record a video tutorial for youtube (using something like obs) and have her avatar in the corner

Hi, is the source code for this available?   I'd like to modify it to allow being "always on top", and also hide the top menu bar.

thank you so much!

Hi I am trying to make a game and would like to procedurally play the song made from beat magic.  Is it possible for you to release a version that lets the user export the song's "track" in json format, and audio loops in a folder?   That way I should easily be able to write a player in my engine (Godot)
