For our game, we thought a cool way to incorporate the "Modification" theme would be by having the player play as a criminal who has to modify or "tamper" with the crime scene in order to get away with their misdeed. The game is divided into 3 different phases: Tampering, Alibi, and Lying. Each phase has a unique gameplay style with Tampering being a drag-and-drop style where you tamper with the crime scene, Alibi a platformer where you need to run away from the crime scene, and Lying a choose-your-option visual novel where you need to skillfully navigate an interrogation. Your choices in the Tampering and Alibi phase culminate in a final showdown in the lying phase between you and the detective whose been hot on your trail.
