Honestly I don’t think the reception was all that bad. Several people on that site stated they really liked the game and as for those that complain about the lack of erotic content on a site with plenty of games that deliver exactly that: If I take the time to bitch about it I am either and Idiot that enjoys trolling or actually liked the game and just wish it got a bit spicier. The former is unfortunately unavoidable on the internet, the latter you should really take as a compliment, since it means your writing and art makes people care for your game even if they actually want more overt erotic content.

You probably don’t have the resources to do anything about that besides trying to appeal to peoples decency but maybe you can at least use it for additional feedback.

On the other hand I am not sure I would have stumbled upon your game without seeing it there and that would have been a shame. Your game is lighter on erotic than I usually like but it is very well written and has an interesting story, so I enjoyed it regardless. You do a very good job of creating believable and likable characters. Especially the conflict Hiroko has with winning through hypnosis is very well done. You also do a very good job handling the conflict and moral implications of Sayori’s split personality. I am curious how you will handle the merging or coexistence of the two personalities. Kind of reminds me of the Voerman twins from Vampire the masquerade: Bloodlines. My favourite scene so far is the one in which nozomi gets hypnotised into believing she is called donut, that was very funny.

What I have to criticize though is the villainous path. With only the most extreme options currently available Kyou’s decent into being a villain feels to fast. He is not so much sliding down a slippery slope and more jumping head first into being a full on monster.

Apart from that I am really interested in the reverse path and what you will come up with there. One suggestion that might be fun would be to have Kyou dress up as a girl. Justified along the lines: so he can see for himself what it feels like to be stared at and give him some insight into how certain approaches to asking someone out feel from the other side. Basically teach him a lesson and help him learn how to approach girls at the same time. A dragged into drag scene with all the girls, including Risa, having fun dressing the protagonist up would be mandatory. Bonus points if nozomi uses hypnosis to make him feel calm about this and accidentally goes to far. Eventually she gets suspicious just how far Kyou is willing to go and removes her suggestions in a public bathroom. Cue to our protagonist freaking out at the prospect of being dressed up like a cute girl in a public place and having to get home like that.
