Hi yall! Thank you soo much for joining my game jam. First time I've hosted one, and I'm glad it went smoothly :) <3

A few friends and I will be making a let's play video of all your games. It will be uploaded next week on YouTube. So keep an eye out for that!

I'll post a link over on discord and the community page of Itch io.

all good yo! Goodluck with the Bday game! <3

Hi there! it seems to be on the submissions page. Reload the jam page and hop over to submissions to double-check.   I can ask a team member to upload it on your behalf if you're still having issues.

Add these few things to your description:
1- credit the artists if you've used pre-made assets
2 - How to play, the Goal, and the controls

and that's it!

Hyyypppeee!   Will play it next week with friends ^-^

yess.  If you can switch them on and off and feature a light switch:)

Nope!, kinda, it just needs to feature a functional light switch, so you can make whatevs,   just have that asset in the game

it's always fun to see everyone's silly glitches and progress on Gamedev.

I mean... it's a tool. But you can't copyright ai art. But ye. I'll say it's allowed

Hi there, noprobs, I'll make a plan!

Welcome to the jam yo!

it's all good. You can share a link to it over on discord.   as long as it's accessible to play and free. :)

For this game jam, you are more than welcome to use pre-made assets, as long as they are free and public.
If the asset does not have the CC0 license, you absolutely have to give credit.

Attach a .txt file called "CREDITS" in your game zip folder, and add the credits in your description of your submitted game.

Assets:
https://poly.pizza/
https://sketchfab.com/feed
https://www.blendswap.com/
https://quaternius.com/
https://polyhaven.com/

For music, Use the Youtube Audio library in Youtube Studio. In case someone makes a let's play, they can have the option to monetize their video

Please note, If you are using UPBGE/The blender game engine, there's a high chance people can extract the files and steal assets.
Look into the Range engine ( https://rangeengine.tech/ ) to publish your game. - it encrypts your game files.
If you don't want to do it and risk your biscuit, go for it!

Hi y'all, the theme is Light Switch!

all you need to do is feature a functional light switch in your game.... and that's it!

Jam starts this Monday, so start daydreaming <3

nooo.   Join the discord and have a chat with strangers ^-^

The theme will be announced on Sunday ^-^  - It's going to be really dumb and open-ended for interpretation.

Rules for publishing and ownership:

*The game must be 100% free - and you have the option to make it donation-based. You can discuss royalties with your team.
*Everyone has full ownership on the assets or any other media they produce- you have the right to sell assets.
*Pre-made assets are allowed, as long as its free and public- and as long as there is proper credit given either in-game or in the description.
*The game must run either browser-based or on Windows. (I don't have a Mac, and Linux is eww)
*Encrypt and spoof your executables! If you're using UPBGE/BGE- publish your game with RANGE engine. Last thing you want is people stealing assets.

Have fun!

Feel free to ask questions ^-^

For newbies to the jam, you are more welcome to join my team. Just send me a DM.

Hi there! , I am a tad unfamiliar with Roblox, I'm not sure it will be covered in the let's play video by my friends at the end of the jam. Ideally, the game needs to be standalone for windows.

all good!

Hi yall, I'd like to get some folks working together- if you plan to join this jam- just say if you're a solo dev, or would like to make a team.

So far my team consists of 3 people. Enough to build a functional game :)
