Hey, sorry for the late reply, I've been insanely busy. Gino is Kate's boyfriend, or ex-boyfriend, and you encounter him by following Kate around at the party. She starts off in the kitchen, then the bathroom, then the living room. There is a dom/sub version of that scene with Gino, so you can try both if you like.
Great questions.
1. Yes, the game is planned to have a dom, sub and mid path. The midpath is where you progress through the story without reaching any TF stat threshold. At the moment, it's not very fleshed out, but it will serve as a path that typically allows you to pick whether you're taking a dominant or submissive path. The idea of having some sub/dom variation within the existing framework is something that is planned for the future. Like, even if you're sub, someone might be more submissive than you, and likewise for the dom path - always someone bigger and stronger out there.
2. Originally there were no picture selection options, until i got quite a few complaints about the MM stuff, so i added the ability to hide those pics. Your suggestion is correct though, it should all be selectable, but it will be quite a chore to go back and change everything. I'm using an old version of sugarcube, so there's a lot of things that need to be updated, and I'm waiting for the right time. So when I do go through the entire game, I can change a bunch of things all at once. Help finding pictures would be incredibly helpful, and there's a contribution section on my discord channel.
3. There are some parts where you can turn the tables on your situation - one of them is the coach path. You can expect to see more opportunities like that as the game progresses.
Great to hear you like the game! The coach's path is fully fleshed out for week 2 on the patreon version at the moment, but the free public version is 6 updates behind. You can join the patreon to get early access and vote on future releases, or you can just wait for the public release to come out. Pick the sword, then the game will progress from day to day until week 2. On monday week 2, gym class, the coach will ask if you are being forced, say no. On tuesday week 2, gym class, you can 'get dressed' or 'skip class' - pick skip class. Then you will get the correct scene on thursday, week 2, gym class.

Why? Hmm.. that's an interesting question. There are a few reasons actually... For one, when I started working on the project, I wasn't sure if I wanted to write a 90s nostalgia type game, or a fantasy RPG. I decided that it would be a hodgepodge of both, rather than picking one, or trying to do two separate games at the same time. Also, it does fit in nicely with the whole nostalgia theme I have going on, it's not just a game, it's an old game. It makes me remember the old days of playing games with no mini-maps, trying to navigate a maze, drafting it out on grid paper, etc. But yeah, in short, that's why.
