Thank you 🙏 I didn't know if you would even see what I wrote, as it's been so long, and it made me happy to know that you did. I'll keep on pushing!

Hi, the developer here! Yeah, it's a finished product. I made this back in a time when not everything was a live service or Patron milking thing 😁 Stupid of me, I know!

Well, anyway, I should append to the description that it's a short game, probably around 20 minutes of playtime or so. But it's been 4 years since I last opened this up, so I might not even remember that correctly!

You know, it's been 4 years since this comment and I've thought about it many many times since then. The game was not received well and if it had enough reviews on Steam I'm sure it would say "mostly" or "overwhelmingly negative". And that's fine, this was the first thing I ever programmed, ever made graphics for, etc. etc.

I'm notoriously bad at staying in contact with people and at staying in one field of work, so I never replied here and I never published another videogame. I am slowly clawing my way back there though, I do want to make more games and I hope that I can improve and this time make something much better... I mean, it will be a slow process, it will probably take several games but that's okay for me.

I hope the people on Steam got their money back easily and I hope they've forgiven me for wasting the time they put into my game. It's not a good feeling to know that a thing you did wasn't received very well... But then on the other hand, I could stomach a hundred or a thousand negative comments and reviews as long as I have ONE comment like this. The money was nice too, I mean this game made lifetime sales of around 2500 dollars if you combine all the platforms, which is probably more than most games made by indies, and that's not even considering that probably something from 95-99% of all games ever going into development don't get released at all or make less than a thousand dollars if they do get released...

Just knowing that a thing I did was liked by ONE person out there, that's awesome. That's giving me so much and I thank you from the bottom of my heart that you took the time that day to leave this comment. It's made my day on many occasions in the last four years!

And to answer the question when more content is coming – the stuff that's shown at the end of the game – I think that exact content will probably never see the light of day, but I've been at work on other things... I really don't know! It depends on so many factors, if I can and will finish any of the games I've started developing. Sadly I have more ideas than time or energy or skill. All I can say is "I hope someday!"

But hey, until then: again, thank you so much. Thank you not for liking a thing I did but for actually saying so. I hope you've let other creators and developers know that too when you're enjoying something. The world sure needs more of that, and a healthy dose of positivity every now and then. We might not always reply, for one reason or another, but be sure that every bit of appreciation can potentially have a big effect on someone else's life.

I had to react to an emergency and wasn't even in the same country until now 😭 I lost several days and there's no way to finish the project or even get it into a semi-playable state. It sucks but I had no other option. I really took this jam seriously and then that happened... I think I'll start a game jam at some point that's about finishing an unfinished project and maybe then I'll be able to continue working on what I have. I hope y'all had a better time than that! I'll still try to play all the submissions and give some feedback, that's the least I can do to make myself useful 😅

That's kind of an awesome problem to have though. I love polishing and refining. Looks cool!

Oh my god, I'm already behind schedule haha That didn't take long! I guess it's not as bad as I think because in addition to coding most of the game's systems (to finish that was supposed to be done yesterday) I already put in some placeholder UI, which is only planned for later. So I'll have more time for other stuff on UI day, I guess... If anything works out according to plan at all haha

Oh and to anyone getting discouraged already: keep going! My game looks completely empty in terms of graphics and like in the screenshots I'm providing here. There's not much happening yet but stuff will fill out. It will be like that for you too!

How's your game doing, theFROGVIBE? What are you making?

Hey, no worries, it has to be fun for everyone involved first and foremost. I've only been working on my project for a day and could only manage to get the game design down and some rudimentary implementation of it in Ren'Py.  I did some placeholder UI and tomorrow I plan to work on the graphics, so I'll only have screenshots tomorrow or after that.  But never mind that, I think you'll find a better project that's more to your liking, I know that a dating sim is pretty niche and not that exciting mechanically haha

Hi there! First off, I hope you find the right people to participate with in this and yes, have a lot of fun!

I'm somewhat experienced with game dev. I published a game on here and on Steam and got several others to near finished state but then abandoned them. So my goal for this gamejam is to get over that and learn to finish projects consistently. That's the biggest skill I'm missing 😅

I'm going to do an RPG-dating sim (SFW, no nudity or anything hardcore, just some flirting) in Ren'Py, which is the engine I always work in (did RPGMaker once and have some projects half finished in Unity and Unreal but I never finished something in any of those engines). I guess my strengths are game design and making stills and animations in Daz3D (learning Blender but I don't know how much I'll use it for this project). I am not a programmer but for Ren'Py you don't really need to be, so I can handle that reasonably well.

I have zero experience with sound design and music, which is something I want to work on this time, because I want to make the game actually have an atmosphere... I'm also no good with UI, if I'm being honest with myself! So those things are certainly something where I'd want to learn from someone else...

I've only ever worked solo, but I'm open to collaborating on this one! I don't know if you'd want to form a fixed team or contribute to several projects as you please...? What would be the most fun for you to do, have you thought about it?

Hello itch.io community!

I have created a page for my upcoming game Orionide: Sex Trainer. It's still very much a work in progress! I posted a DevLog and there are 5 screenshots to see for now. If you'd like to leave encouraging comments then please do! The game will be a "trainer" game similar to other games in the genre, like Akabur's Princess Trainer Gold Edition and others. The story focuses on two, nameable characters and you, the player get to unlock more and more actions/sex acts as you progress their relationship.

To celebrate the occasion my previous game, Orionide: Prologue is name-your-own-price now! Please consider trying it out and shooting me a few bucks, as much as you can spare, to help me finance the development of my new game. I'd really, really appreciate it.

Keep in mind that Orionide: Prologue is not indicative of the quality of my new game, neither in terms of graphics/animation or gameplay, because I'm stepping all of that up for Orionide: Sex Trainer. I'm very excited about it. But Orionide: Prologue is pretty a-okay for a first ever project, if I may say so myself ;D Check it out and tell me what you thought.

So please, also drop by on the DevLog page and leave a comment if you'd like! I'd love to engage more with everyone here on itch.io.

Thank you for reading and all the best,

Orionide

Christmas messes up everybody's schedule, I can relate! Brb, subscribing on Patreon

Have a good time continuing to dev this! May many patrons bless you and may you make a living from this

I don't doubt for a second that you're a shiny golden God among mere men but just in case you aren't: your will will falter many times and that's okay! You'll get over it eventually. Rocky speech about getting back up goes here. I mean, I've been working on my second game for over a year now and it's not even close to done although it's theoretically a workload suitable for 4-6 months all in all, in my eyes. Alas, I'm not a perfect workhorse of a man + game dev is hard.

The best thing to do is enjoy what you're doing because well, this is the time of your life! Enjoy the ups and enjoy the downs. It's hard not to when you're working on deepthroat porn though, so I think we both got that covered haha Best job ever.

And to everyone else reading this: throw this dev some money for extra motivation! You know it's the right thing to do

This has mega, hyper potential! Love the physics that are already in place. Take my money! (P.S. you already did and I'll certainly spend more on the game as it progresses)

Please keep working on this and don't abandon it. This is the true SDT successor for me now and I can see it surpassing it easily, in time. Great project, will keep watching it because you clearly know what you're doing!
