Only the windows executable version can load mods from files for security reasons. Every other version is just the browser version, and browsers have various security features that prevent file system access and “fuzz” local file paths, so this is a hard limitation.

In order to load a mod in the web version, it needs to be hosted on the web or localhost, and the URL entered into the game. This is the only way. I host all first party and several third party mods on my personal website for use in the web version.

I do not host romance unlocker, and don’t plan to. For one, I have no way to contact the author, and I cannot host someone’s file without their permission. On top of that, it’s actually buggy and messes up the dates and other romance features.

There is a story requirement; you have to be a little ways into chapter 1 (once you get through the maid academy, you should be far enough). I may remove this stipulation, I wanted to prevent players from getting into debt within the first hour or so of play and getting stuck in a debt loop without enough ways to make money, but maybe halfway into chapter 1 is too far into the game.

If you are referring to the free edition, that’s a bug I accidentally introduced in v0.14 when I was working on the debtors’ prison but didn’t finish. It should be fixed as of v0.15. If you are on the free edition, v0.15.1 was just released, so you can update now and hopefully that’ll fix everything.

If you are on the patron edition, though, let me know, as that bug should be gone!

If you visit Gray and Carol’s house at night, there’s a chance Gray will be there alone, the first time, you can only have oral sex with him. From the second time and on you can seduce him to have vaginal sex. You can save scum to get Gray to appear alone at night. If memory serves, there’s a 50/50 chance of Gray being home alone at night and Gray and Carol both being home.

I’m just changing the name of the game, some of the logos and the color scheme. Changes to game content as it is right now will be fairly minimal, though I do want to change the names and terms for some stuff related to the the game’s setting/lore. As it stands, I think saves from the alpha will probably carry over, so that’s how similar everything is planned to be.

Patrons will be getting a (relavitvely small) update on the next few weeks sometime. Currently I’m transitioning from an alpha stage of development to regular content development, which means I have to make more or less permanent decisions on a ton of things that will effect development for the years ahead, plus I want to rebrand and re-release the game, plus I want to add a ton of new content for the first regular release, so the next free edition release may still be a long while.

That said, patrons will get periodic small updates to the alpha as I work on the regular releases, and maybe some of those can come to the free edition if it’s taking too long.

For the asset loading issues, I’m working on improving this in a few different ways! I think expanding the CDN is probably the way to go, even though you said that didn’t seem to help much, I think the issue has to do with the number of simultaneous downloads, not the speed. Basically browsers limit how many downloads a single domain can have going at once, and I believe that’s the issue here, I just have too many files for the number of domains I am using (1 without the CDN, 2 with it). Anyway, I do think I can fix this, it’s just an infrastructure issue.

For balance, the biggest plan I have right now is to allow players to give up so you can just take the L when you run out of resources instead of having to try to use the dagger. I am open to other suggestions though. I like the focus on magic and MP, and there are abilities that can help you generate more MP, so I’m loathe to just buff the dagger, but that is an option.

For the art, we did, as a design goal, want to make the art cute. I don’t think the characters look that young aside from having big heads and eyes, but we are trying to be careful and make sure nothing looks too problematic. It’s possible to go back and touch up the existing art in the future to make sure that it doesn’t look like that. I think the masturbation pose is potentially just an issue of the perspective, but I’ll take your opinion into consideration and review all the art when I have time. Just to clarify though, all of the characters are instended to be adults, with Meila/Iris in particular meant to be in at least her mid-twenties.

You can go to the tavern nude, though it doesn’t do a whole lot yet. To unlock leaving the house naked, you can go bathe in the lake at the shore, eventually someone will snatch your clothes, after this event, if you also have enough experience with exhibitionism, Meila will let you leave the chapel naked!

Stuff like this is planned for the future, but Meila is the slow burn “corruption” part of the game, so I plan to take my time with it, starting with stuff like the masturbation scene with her, then I plan to add some interactions to the throne realm. Eventually you’ll be able to bring love interested to the throne realm and also have her interact with your servant.

If you open the journal it should tell you what you need to do to move on in the story. Even if the story isn’t that interesting to you, a lot of areas and characters are unlocked as you move through it, so it’s probably worth doing just to have more options for the sandbox stuff.

It makes her enjoy giving birth (e.g., laying an egg). It just changes the descriptions of the scenes to be more lewd and there’s a possibility she’ll orgasm during it if her list is elevated.

You actually just lay eggs that are basically special potions. You can’t actually make babies :/

I don’t plan to make the game’s source code available, and even if I did, I don’t think making it available for the purpose of modding would be wise. SS’s APIs were designed and modified alongside the game itself, so the source code would not necessarily be a good way to learn. On top of that, some stuff is just plain spaghetti code. Hex, for example, is way better in terms of structure and consistency. That said, I wouldn’t be opposed to sharing snippets of game code that I am able to personally annotate or comment on if there are like specific things you want to see, I also am willing to provide direct help and answers on the game’s Discord (or wherever else) to modders to help them get stuff off the ground. Also, the complete source code of the convent mod is available for modders to peruse.

The throne realm is accessible after reaching level 2 and completing the first quest. To trigger it for the first time, you need to sleep at the chapel after meeting these conditions.

I’m not doing a perfect job of it, but I’m working on both games at the same time as I transition from SS to Hex. That SS is almost done is exactly the reason why I’m transitioning to Hex as my main project.

As your units level up, you will gain management experience, which will increase the party cap at certain breakpoints. So the short answer is just by doing expeditions.

The option will appear at some point at home. With the correct perks the option will also appear in public places. If you wait a while after the option first appears, eventually you’ll be forced to give birth wherever you are as an emergency.

If you turn off urination emergencies and turn on the watersports content shield, it should prevent pretty much all the urination content as long as you don’t engage it yourself. There may be an occasional mention of pee from time to time as an ingredient, but it should be rare.

If you actively select watersports content by selecting an option to pee at some point, it should at least be blurred, other than a mention of ingredient collection. You can just not do that though, as long as urination emergencies are off, you won’t ever be forced to pee, just ignore the option.

Male urine is very easy to get starting in chapter 2 once you find the bandit camp. Prior to chapter 2 it’s only possible by finding select events or by using piss liquors on male NPCs.

The reputation system probably needs a rework, since certain things like urinating cause you to move toward being more slutty (this is because internally these count as “erotic events” and I need to add code to create an exception for them). Some other innocuous things also count, like certain ways to avoid being arrested, getting caught outside without your clothes even if they were stolen, etc. Reputation is probably not a good indicator of how pure your run is do to this.

Your overall reputation only advances based on the total number of scenes you’ve been in, and doesn’t go back down. The three other reputation values (skill, depravity, and notoriety) all go up and down, but the overall rep never goes back down, so you can’t go back to lady, unfortunately.

A pure run isn’t actively intended to be possible, but it’s an interesting idea, and I think I could track it independently of the rep systems in place, and provide special rewards and bonuses for players who manage it, probably in the form of unique traits. It’s something I’ll think about!

You should get it after giving birth a few times.

It could be a number of things, like the browser you’re using or your Internet connection. In general the game is rather hefty in terms of assets and loading each scene may take time. If assets appear to be missing, refreshing the page may help.

I’ll look into this, thanks. In general loading saves and refreshing the browser during combat seems to work for me, but I’ll try to see if I can reproduce this. Can you tell me what browser you were using, or was this in the Windows version?

As for the deflection interaction, I’m aware of issues with it, and it’s a mid-term goal for me to improve the performance of it.

There are three quests and the throne realm in this version. You can technically do three of the four things in any order, but Gemma is likely yo be the last thing you end up finding/doing.

The game state is only updated when a new passage is rendered, like if you move to a new location, or start or finish an activity, etc. What this means is even if you change for example your inventory, or buy new traits, then save, the game state that gets saved is the one that was updated the last time a passage was rendered.

A lot of games do stuff like this, for example, even if you save while standing in the middle of the room, many games will load your character in at the door to the room.

At any rate, this isn’t a bug, and it should have no major averse effects.

Multiplayer is in the game right now, so you can try it out. I made many considerations when designing the systems to ensure maximum safety and privacy in online interactions, mostly through limiting direct interactions. The only direct communication possible is through the names of characters and servants, so any abuse should be quite limited.

There’s 3 quests you can complete (check the goals/completed goals to see completed quests) and the throne realm stuff. Once you’ve seen all of that, that’s all the main story content.
