Maybe, but he is still rational. I mean, never once he doubts about the ground set rules of hypnosis, it is only a way for him to hopefully get closer to Nozomi. He is logical and the fact that he is really into technology makes him more critical on what can or can't be achieved with it. That's why it doesn't make sense for him to believe that the girls are robot. He believes himself to be normal all the time, how would it be normal to have "found" fembots? Which all happened to be those people he looked up to? Loneliness can make you a lot of things, but I don't think he is lonely enough to get crazy.

Thanks

Something I have been wondering for a while now, does the exposure to the light also affect kyou even though the beam isn't directed at him? Does he inadvertently manipulate his own perception of reality when he hypnotize others? I mean, even if it isn't used on him the patterns are still in the light, and we saw that they were strong enough to put someone in a trance despite being many buildings away. It would also explain why Kyou seems to actually believe that, in the robot ending, Nozomi and her friends are actually robot despite being fully aware at first that it is all a ruse.

By the way, I love the way you write this story. It is obvious that you actually interested yourself on the subject of hypnosis. It feels so refreshing to have a media which doesn't shows hypnosis as a all powerful tool made for evil purposes (even though it is what ends up happening). I wish there were more content like yours.

The concept of  "Use your abilities when you want" is such a unique game design (which so far your game only share with "Adventure High" for as far as I am aware) that should be used more frequently and makes for amazing story development and helps people connect with the main character's decision (in many games and film we often find ourselves asking, "but why they didn't use [Inserts ability] from the get go, the whole situation would have been avoided! It's so stupid" so it really helps building up our engagement to the story). As such, I believe it was only a matter of time before you got recognition for your work.

Your game is a rare gem to encounter. I hope you good luck with the rest of it (no matter how many act you consider making), the story is amazingly written and the comedy's on point, I wish I could donate to keep you going.

Have a nice day (if you think I am being too nice, don't worry, I am not, I am simply Canadian 😉)

How are you able to read and reply to every single comments I look at!?

Anyway it's alright to take your time, as a perfectionist, I understand better than anyone how much projects can get delayed when people are invested into it. Don't worry, take your time, and have fun.

See ya never probably! (I take one of the nerf guns and aim it on my temple before shooting) Ah!! Since when does nerf guns are that painful!?!

Sorry for this long and maybe un-interesting paragraphs, but I hope you will read it

Well... If you want to write ethical scenarios, you could always use one of the unexplored paths at the beginning (the "going home" choice at the very beginning after Kyou didn't had the courage to engage with Nozomi and the "waiting by the shoe racks" one that has been there since forever). You could easily write a new whole scenario maybe involving Rita or the black haired one (sorry at the moment I don't remember her name) in a more conventional manner (not having to mess with Hiroko and then try to make amends for our actions) since we already know that at least one of them is interested into hypnosis.

I know it can be difficult to write a story, especially when we can't relate to the main character (since I have discovered your game, I have begun writing scripts on AI Dungeon to use the AI to hopefully not get stuck mid way through the story) so I hope this comment will be helpful.

PS: I would like to mention how awesome and refreshing it is to see a hypnosis story actually have real life elements to it (by that I mean when ever you drop facts like "the silent observer" or that "hypnosis can't be used to mind control"). It's sad how disfigured those concepts usually are in most media.
