Thank you for this game. I like it very much. I already tried a one-shot with it and we had plenty of fun. The adventure hooks are pretty neat and helped us to get started. I do have a question regarding the dice rolls. According rules, you either roll with disadvantage, normal or advantage, and add the edge dice if applicable. This caused me to scratch my head. If you for instance have a charming cleric, trying to talk to a farmer, this would be a normal rule (2 check dice) plus 1 edge die for being charming. However, one could also interpret the situation as follows: roll 3 check dice (advantage) because YOU ARE charming. Do you see my point? A skill, gear your role (personality) already gives you a reason for rolling with advantage so whats the point for the edge dice? This was the only thing which caused some discussion during the game. In the end we interpreted the rules like this: disadvantage, normal or advantage only applies to environmental or natural circumstances (Example: you are hidden behind a rock (advantage), your opponent is drunk (advantage), your are worn out, hurt and hungry (disadvantage). What is your advice on that?

Are you the creator of "Sarkurath’s Fortress" solo RPG? I had a PDF copy laying around and plaid this yesterday and it was a very, but very cool and exiting game. I tried to find your itch.io page for this game because I remember having found it there, but the page is not there anymore. Did you take it off-online? If you did, why? This was (is) a very good game. Thank you. Cheers.
Hi there. I understand the concept of rolling the dice for combat, however, I have difficulties in converting enemies to this system and how to deal with them. For instance, I took a "Bugbear" of the of the CAIRN RPG system. This bugbear comes with 8 HP, 1 Armor, 15 STR, 12 DEX, 11 WIL and club with 1d8 damage. Do I just consider the 8 HP, 1 Armor and the 1d8 damage? Does the STR, DEX and WIL matter in any way?
Magic. This is even more confusing for me. While the cleric has somehow a few spells explained, the magician spells do not come with much details. Candle, shadow, throw voice? Sounds nice, but I have to make something up on my own here?
Thank you for making this game. I love to get more into it but I'm still new to this.
Great game which can be used as a base for many other games. I like the combat procedure and the way enemies are being created. That's very cool. Thanks. However, I have a question regarding "Boss weakness". You need 3 clues, OK, I got that, however, when do you roll the d20 to know the boss' weakness and what's the point? I mean, once you know 3 clues you do 2 x damage, regardless if you roll a d20 with "Fire/Ice/Poison" or "Eye damage" (whatever that means). If I understand the rules correctly, all you need to do is to "convince" the NPC with a wisdom role to "provide" you with a boss weakness.
Am I being misguided by something?
Sorry, I'm very new to solo rpg or rpg in general.
I have a question on the following sentence, on page 18:
LIGHT WEAPONS (DAMAGE: D6/D ROLL 2D6 TAKE WORST)
Dagger/Knife Can be thrown (AGI), Damage is d6/a (roll 2d6 take best)
when grappling or enemy prone
Question:
What does "d6/d" or "d6/a" mean? For what does the "d" and "a" stand for
Hi Heath. Would it please be possible to add that costs of repair to the next update of the manual? The one with the saw mill was also not clear to me. Thanks. Again, great game. Can't get enough and got my kids into it too. Would be nice to have this translate to German to provide this to a bigger audience.
This is such a beautiful game. I sat in my remoted Swiss mountain cabin by candlelight and some medieval background music, equipped with a sheet of paper, a pencil and a French playing card set. I'm almost 50 years old now, but those 2 hours of play took me back 30-40 years. No high resolution graphics, just your imagination and the well laid out game plan. Please support this project. I hope the developer will add more features to this game in the future. This has great potential. Thank you for making this gem.
