What suggestions and ideas do you have regarding how the game jam should be run?
I'm withdrawing from the jam due to overwork and feeling taxed. I overscoped considerably and i didn't realise how much of a hurdle it would be to get VR setup and with wanting to do everything myself it was overkill for a gamejam.

I am making a VR story driven game involving a protagonist who has given up on life, they want to escape reality and then on this day an app installs itself on their phone, saying "Do you wish you could be reborn in another world?"
The world zooms right by and they find themself in a park, moments later they are floating into the night sky, the world drifting further from vision.
Upon reawakening the world is in a state of ruin, spirits flitter in the air and there are few survivors, interacting with the world plays out some of the characters stories as you become drawn into their lives and the events of this reality. The difference between you and them is night and day, you aren't human anymore and despite your abilities the world only people left are destroying themselves and natural disasters frequently occure and creatures appear to attack them.
Basically the odds are against the protagonist and from one reality to another, the conflict remains the same. But as you complete quests, new arrivals like you appear from other worlds in similar circumstances and they find a place they belong and trying to make a difference.
Gods are rampant in this world but it is also similar to our modern world, we are connected.
