Really fun and a neat idea! I also love the look and the sort of cute vibe the game is going for. I do the find the controls just a bit clunky, but that's something you can get used to. Great work!
I added a mac build, no idea if it works 😅
Also I managed to add a web build so you can hopefully play it here on itch even if the mac build is no good.

This is really helpful feedback, thank you!!! I'm mostly done with the game yes, but I'm perfectly willing to balance out a few more things.
So when I have time I'll try out a few things with the enemy hp and player fire power and see if I can address the balance issue during the mid-game.
