Very atmospheric! Well done :)

nice crate i like

yeah there is! :D https://discord.com/invite/AWxEEMN

bc you have to post the game for a game jam before the deadline - he wouldn't have got to the video yet

Hey!

I made a little puzzle game with unique mechanics. The player has the ability to flip the normals and the gravity of the 3D world in order to solve the mini puzzle. This was my second jam since starting game dev Oct 2018, and it was amazing WOWWIIEEEE. I'm probably going to make a video of the jam too!  I hope you enjoy it! :DD

Thanks!

Thank you! I hope to expand it too! This game jam was a load of fun and I'm glad you enjoyed playing mine :DD

Thank you !!! I'm pleased with how the gravity came out :D

Thanks!! Thanks for letting me know about these, must've been because the tutorial and end screen were reasonably untested in comparison to the rest of the game.

Thank you! I will be working on it again very soon :D

Nice job with this. I enjoyed running his armour down and then taking my shot when he was vulnerable! I think the game would benefit from having the player be more agile. If the player had 150% current move speed and slowed to 100% current move speed when shooting it would encourage tactical use of the gun. Well done! :D

Nice job, the game has such striking visuals with so little in the scene! Definite shame about audio, but overall pretty good and matches the theme well. Zuper JOB!!

Wow this is one of the best I've played in the jam thus far. The visuals and polish work with the simplicity of the game so that it's easy to pick up but hard to master. You've got something here. Very well done! :D

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it :D

After a few tries I really got the of hang it, but at first it was a little intense. The bug speed should maybe be a little slower for the start round?  Anyhow, I had fun with this one, you've done a good job.

Neat game with many welcome details eg. bugopedia. Trying to understand what controls to press was interesting at first, but I got it figured out soon enough. Well done, very good submission!

Exactly my dude, take all the inspiration in and it will show itself unexpectedly

Couldn't see where the bug was... BUT it was the most fun I've had slashing children to death in a LONG time.

The dark sections with parallax/depth remind me of celeste. So your art is good haha. Gameplay is super chaotic which is fun. Level of polish is pretty amazing really.

Cool concept, could make it into an infiinite ikea puzzle game? (i really like puzzle games ahaha)

Great work. Maybe should keep the shaking to some of the time with the same intensity. It does get a bit much.

Good job! I enjoyed working through the puzzles - very clean and polished game. General UI placement needs a little bit of work. Overall, very well done.

Well this was certainly interesting... you like messing with a far off idea and I respect that. With a little visual polish, and a core loop, this would be extraordinary. Very well done :O

This seems like an interesting game in theory. Though I didn't get past the first screen, and it doesn't seem like a rare problem. The Naruto-running granny is hilarious but it's a shame I couldn't find my way past the first screen.

This is epic :D Super clean visuals and simple yet effect effective design. Great job!

Wow! Thank you! I haven't updated the game since the release last night.

Thank you for your such high opinion of the game. I think it'll need to be seen by many more to gain any chance of being at the top. (Any help in sharing it would obviously be greatly appreciated, I will play yours momentarily!)

Re: The theme. I believe it fits the theme reasonably as the player uses the bugs(flipped normals & upside down gravity) to their advantage but if people generally disagree, I'll take the L.

Sorry to hear it crashed, I've heard you're not alone. It sounds silly but the (esc) key does close the application - mistake on my part if this feels like a crash. Otherwise it maybe pc spec?

Thanks for your kind words for my game.

Thank you!  ~25% of people have mentioned that to me. I've tried it on two machines and is fine for me. Maybe to do with the pc specs? Thank you for playing nevertheless.

Wow! This was really cool, you've done a great job here.

The game loop +
audio +
simple & effective visuals +
great difficulty curve +
clear tutorial +

Needs coyote time -
too dark/light around player needs tweaking -

All in all, great submission. You should be very happy with the result.

:PPP thanks for playing!!

neither...

Yes I think so too! I didn't have the whole weekend to work on it so it suffered in polish and general guidance. It was a rush just to get the game to a semi finished state. Thanks! :)))

I like how this game doesn't take itself too seriously, its a great concept executed fairly well (better than I could). The hog cam is a really nice addition, though I think the cam FOV could be wider and maybe the box a touch bigger. In most cases, I felt the levels were either too easy or much to messy to understand where to even start. It would take some testing but perhaps the start point should be further from the course and you have to fling further initially. I think it would feel better if the main camera was away from the course and the camera smoothly follows the hog. Then if you want to see a perspective shot you can watch the cam. Understandably there are many limitations when working inside of a few days (as I've found) and I think this game is a lot of fun!

Great game to play with a friend, really enjoyed it :)
