Hi guys i can finally announce the first playable alpha of Pokemon Rainbow Version,
as previously mentioned in my devlog in this alpha there are nearly all game mechanics implemented.
- You can play the full story until viridian forest/city
- Catch and train pokemon
- Store and withdraw pokemon via PC
- Heal your Pokemon at your mom's house or in the PokéCenter
- Buy, sell and store items
- Interact with nearly all of the original NPC's
You will encounter bugs and glitches and i appreciate if you would let me know what kind of bug it was and where you encountered it
Recommendations and ideas to improve the gameplay or feel of the game are also highly appreciated
Although gamepad is fully supported you can play the game with keyboard but the controls can't be changed yet.
- Start = Escape Key
- Select = N Key
- A = Spacebar
- B = B Key
- Directions = Arrow Keys
On gamepad the controls mapped after xbox-gamepad's

Thanks for the back follow ;) I really love to see people work on retro games and giving them a new life and look with modern technology. Your game looks also great! I use Gamemaker Studio 2. I already had the missingno glitch on my mind already but thanks eitherway for the recommendation :) Because you are also working on a gen 1 pokemon game, i could help you out with data sets and formulas for battle system etc if you need something, just pm me.
Im curious what the cummunity thinks about this project of mine and what ideas you guys have or maybe there where thinks in the gen1 games that you always hated and should not be im this game. Things that could/should be done better since i didnt have the technical limitations. :)
I'm looking for insperation and ideas i havent thought about and what you think about the colourscheme.
Hi, this is a project i'm working on for quite a while now. As a huge fan of the 1.Gen Pokémon Games and a self-tought hobby programmer, i tought it would be a good idea to recreate a game as an learning project. Currently this is the 4th attempt to make it a whole game and not just an idea.
I'm publishing this to get feedback, somekind of motivation and meet people :)
I'm looking forward to your opinions and suggetions.
The rest can be read on the main page of the game
