You guys are going about this way wrong and leaving really salty taste in peoples mouths. I understand you have the reasons why you picked the way you are distributing access to your game game. But these methods only cause people who are interested in the game to become disinterested in the game, with no intentions on picking it back up once the game releases.

I guess I should check the road map but is there a map? It may be the view on my screen but since I can't zoom out it's hard to tell where my base is based on the tile that I'm at. Some kind of indicator would be nice
