It is actually true, the shield was the last feature added in to the game (regarding gameplay), so i didn't had enough time to tweak it a lil bit.
Besides Waves, there is also another projectile that pierces through shield, waves are intentional, but the yellow bullets from the first boss, was actually something that i forgot to include inside the game.
