I feel like such an asshole, I confused two different plug-ins. I am sorry about that. It was “Drop Designer” for Kontakt that had the bitrate issue not Nimble Kick.

So…. How’s the new version coming along? I am currently in the process of extracting all the “tocks” and “tails” separately throughout my entire kick library of kicks that have them together as one audio file in anticipation for the dual sample/dual window release.

Any progress update we can sink our teeth into?

This happened to me when I first started to use Nimble Kick to load samples, until I realized when you re-sample anything in Ableton it renders by default to 24bit. Nothing loads successfully in Nimble Kick over 16bit. This can be fixed by changing in your default render settings in the Ableton preferences to 16bit.

p.s. to developer: how close are we to the next update!?

+1 and mad props to the current progress of dual sampling. This alone is great!

And I totally get it with not making it too complicated. Lord knows less is more. I will say though that if done with that in mind (less is more) you could make it a very simple workflow.

A simple pre-delay knob for the slap-back sound for the Punch. That would help give the punch and the reverb a bit more "pump" feel.

And a clickable "Load" box would not be too cluttered and I don't think you would even need a visual representation of the sample. just a little text showing what sample you chose would suffice. (and when not using any of your own samples, the text field would simply say "init.")

Check out the example I made attached to this reply with a pre-delay knob and the additional load button/sample filename area. =)

I would love to see in a future build (will there be a future build?) where 2 additions could be included which will essentially make this plugin worth even more than the current asking price:

1- Two sample windows so there is more building flexibility between different combinations of pre-separated Tocks (punch) & Tails. This way both elements can be mixed and matched to provide limitless possibilities (and if I may be so bold to say, an infinite amount of kick creation).

2- An area where you can import your own convolution reverbs to better enhance the Tock's (punch's) sound to your personal taste.  (And a Pre-Delay settings option would rock as well)

Good god if these two options existed this would be the holy grail for Hard Dance producers. (It already is at this point so let's say the Holy Grail taken up a notch)
