It is! Currently working on a Nate/Bae update 😌 I'm glad you're enjoying it!!!

When you say 'fully restart' - did you load a file from before you got the mod? If so, that right there is the problem. You have to start from an entirely new file or the mod will not load.
If not, then I don't know what the issue could be. I don't have a mac so the issue might be something to do with that, but I do hope not.
Did you place the mod's files correctly? If you put the files nested into their original file (named 'XOXO Droplets Mod') in the 'game' folder rather than directly in the game folder on their own, the game won't acknowledge that they exist. It should look something like this (it may be slightly different depending on how you have the files sorted ofc):
It can appear at first as if you only have the free version if you just go by the main menu upon first downloading the mod. What I've found works is one of two things:
1. Start a new game (get to the first meeting if you don't mind just skipping) and then close the game without saving. This should have the extended DLC working again upon restarting, and the main menu will change to reflect that. No idea why this works, and it won't 100% of the time. 😅
2. The ideal order for reinstalling when it comes to all this is Base Game - Extended DLC - Mod. Especially if working with the Steam version.
3. Check your game files to see if there's a persistent_variables.rpy file if all else fails. If there isn't it'd mean that you didn't install the DLC right, rather than the mod.
Hope things get to working again soon 👋🥰
Hi there!!! I do definitely plan on adding other ships; Eve/Pran being one of them! I'll finish the 'rival' ship sets first (So after Nate/Bae I'd do Shiloh/Pran, which should be interesting) and then, when they're fully implemented, I'd start on the other ships that don't have strict rival or friend relationships. I'm unsure of the order I'd go from there but Eve and Pran's past would definitely make them one of the ones I'd be most interested in writing.
Thank you for commenting by the way, I'm so glad you've enjoyed the mod thus far!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Well those errors would likely be because the variables in the mod don't work if you don't start a new game - ie, if you play from a file that you made before you added the mod. Basically the updated files in my mod check for the new variables in the mod (like whether there's a couple together/if you're matchmaking any of them) but if you don't start a new file then those variables won't be present and it will send out an error.
So yeah if it's still not working with new files/if it's not acting like you have the full version with new files then this is very definitely not working 😅😅I know reinstalling a lot is annoying but honestly there's nothing else I can suggest - I purposely left out the file that makes the game the full version because it would have basically been stealing from the dev so I can't just go and add that in.
If I had to suggest something I'd recommend uninstalling the game as a whole, then reinstalling the mod, then the DLC, and see if that works.
That happened to me when I first made the mod when I was testing. Although I have the steam version, re-installing the extended DLC should work for you still. No promises, I'm afraid, but it should work. Let me know if it doesn't and I'll see what I can do.
Also, sometimes you just need to start a whole new file and that will do it, so if you're just going by the boys being clickable on the main menu that's the wrong way to go about it 😅I've definitely made that mistake, haha, and I made the mod-
For Spring break you need 150 and 100 of the respective LI's stats, you should be able to check that in the game by going to 'stats'. After Spring Break the minimum gets raised to 300 and 200 for the ending, but for the good ending you need both of those stats to equal 600 or more when added together.
Ah if that's what you meant then no there weren't any new events added, but you still need to get the same stats Anne would need to unlock Dominic's beach event. If you don't get them then the event will fail. Probably you met the Winter event requirements but not the Spring one? 🤔🤔Idk if you're a new player to Roommates in general (as you only said you just discovered this mod) but the Spring requirements are higher than the Winter ones... That's about all I can come up with as being the problem, though, since as long as you picked Dominic to hang out with at the beach you should have been set on his route...
Hmm, if I remember correctly I just added on to events already in the game and made it possible to actually ask him (and Sally ofc) out on Valentine's, and then of course added their respective endings. Not many people know this, unless they're actively looking to befriend the unavailable options in the base game, but many events that are meant for the actual options will have choices in them that you can pick that then earn points with Dominic/Sally instead of the LI in question, so you could likely rely on those.
However, I know that sort of answer is incredibly vague and unhelpful, so thank you for bringing this question to my attention - I'll replay the mod myself (I made it so long ago that I can't remember the specific events I changed/added to) and then get to making a walkthrough for this mod 😊
Can you show a screenshot of your game folder just to make sure there's not some sort of miscommunication?
If you're not comfortable doing that or don't know how just compare your 'game' folder to this. More precisely the folders at the top - if there's a folder named XOXO Droplets Mod in your game folder then you actually have done the thing I said before (and based on the error text you sent, I have no reason to believe you haven't, but I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt)
From what I see based on that error, you did not copy the contents within the folder into the game file - you just took the entire file and put it into the game folder. You need to copy the contents within the 'XOXO Droplets Mod' file and paste them into the game folder. Taking the entire file and putting it in the folder will result in an error.
I also feel like you maybe didn't delete the archive.rpa file since the error also says that a variable got defined twice, which is a different error than should be expected... Might be wrong and renpy decided to just be weird, but that's definitely also something to note.
Hi, sorry for the late response!!
At the moment I'm going through some issues with my computer that essentially means, while the data and progress in the fangan still technically "exists", it's not really accessible. My choices are to either wait to raise the money to fix my old laptop to be able to access that data and transfer it to my new one, or just start over. Ideally I'll do the first one as starting completely over (including redrawing the sprites) isn't something I particularly want to do 😅 So my answer would have to be both "yes" and "no". If I end up deciding it's taking too long to get it fixed I'll probably start completely over, though, so don't take this as me saying I'd never update if that's the case ☺️ I just want to hold out a bit longer
I'm not sure, I've recently moved so I haven't been able to work on my games as much as I would like to, meaning my schedule is a bit thrown off at the moment. When things get more settled down I hope to be able to work on the full version some more though 😌 I thank you dearly for your interest in this game though, and hope that I will have it out soon!! 💞💞
Apologies but the full version is not out yet, and it will indeed cost money 😅 When it is out though, you should know I make all paid games on my account free on my birthday each year, October 2nd. It's a while to wait in addition to waiting for the game to actually come out in full, but if you're not able to play anything but free games I'd say it's your only option. I'm very sorry!!!
As I've said before, I'm considering re-doing what I have in Twine. I've lost my progress more than once using Renpy, so I think that's a distinct sign that I need to change. Please realize however that I have multiple projects in-progress and you being childish and demanding like this does not make me any more likely to finish this one - if anything, it makes me far, far less likely. :)
If you're talking about the intro scene, you should get a scene where you're transferred to the front of the dragons' room. If you didn't get that scene then you haven't actually talked to everyone in the castle, you'll have to look for others in other rooms.
And thank you very much for the compliment!!
It's entirely random, sorry! There's a 50/50 shot between getting the base couples or getting Everett/Jeremy. It's nothing you're doing wrong, I promise, it's just that you have to keep trying to get the one you want. Sorry for the confusion! I hope you get the result you're looking for soon!
Also, just to be safe, are you loading a save from before the meeting ended or after? It doesn't do the RNG until the absolute very end of that meeting, but during the period where the meeting ends (aka as the screen fades to the planner screen) it's already decided.
Also also, your absolute best bet would be to start a 100% new file if you're going off of an old one. I know that sounds undesirable but if all else ends up failing you might want to try it. Good luck!
That's rather odd, the log you sent indicates that the endings_edit.rpyc file is missing, but it seems as though it's right there? I can't imagine what the problem could possibly be. I'm honestly as lost as you are...
The only thing I see that might be the problem is, it looks like you're in a different country (because of the language used with the file extensions) and honestly, I didn't think that would cause an issue, but maybe it did? I edited the American versions of the files after all?
In the base version of Roommates, the character you normally can't romance will have a label over their face in the status screen that says you can't romance them. For example, if you're playing as Max, Dominic's face will be obscured, while if you're playing as Anne, Sally's face will be obscured. I purposefully went and removed these for the purposes of the mod, though, so if the mod is working properly, when you go and check the characters' affections, Dominic's/Sally's face should be visible. If that's the case, you'll know it's working just fine :)
I'm so sorry! At the time of first posting this mod, I had noticed this problem, and what the issue is is there's a hidden function that tracks whether you've gotten at least 20 points with the base romance characters at that point - which excludes Dominic for Max, and Sally for Anne. If you don't have at least 20 points with someone who isn't Dominic or Sally, then you will be forced to skip Winter Break.
I have recently found that function, however, so I can soon post the newly-working version of the mod if you don't mind waiting :) I'm so sorry!!!
