Hmmmm. I'm unable to replicate it, but a cursory search is saying that it's a fairly common issue.
A couple of fixes I've seen mentioned are trying to run it in windowed mode (assuming that the launcher runs), and making sure that the /LIN_Tala_KickstarterDemo folder is in the same place as the x86 & x86_64 files.
I'll keep looking, though.
Aside from that, I'll start upgrading everything into the latest Unity version. It'll take some time, and I don't have the chance to start it tomorrow. Hopefully that'll work.
Do you have a preferred email that I can send a build to when it's done?
Hi Wolfhowler! To play the game you can download the WIN_Tala_KickstarterDemo.zip file if you're on windows, or the OSX_Tala_KickstarterDemo.app.zip file if you're on a mac.
Once that is downloaded you have to (depending if you're on a windows machine or mac)
-WINDOWS-
Dowload the WIN_Tala_KickstarterDemo.zip file
Unzip the folder, there are instructions here https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/14200/windows-compress-uncompress-zip-f...
- Locate the zipped folder that you want to unzip (extract) files or folders from.
- To unzip all the contents of the zipped folder, press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Extract All, and then follow the instructions.
and then run Tala_Flowerseed.exe which should will be in the folder that you unzipped. That will open the launcher and you can press the 'Play!' button at the bottom of that window to start.
-MAC-
Download the OSX_Tala_KickstarterDemo.app.zip file, find your Downloads folder and open the OSX_Tala_KickstarterDemo file and that should work.
Good luck getting it to work. :)
Hey folks! I've had this in the works for a while now, and it's finally live! This is a little proof of concept I put together that combines nature photography & traditional animation techniques into a point and click puzzle game.
