Thank you for your reply! Have you found any decent alternatives?

I just discovered Pixelbox and am really liking it so far. I dig the aesthetic and also the workflow. I've been looking for something for a long time that encapsulates all of the game making tools (including sound) into a single package like Pico-8 but without the restrictions.

I'd love to work on a big project with Pixelbox but am wondering, is it still being developed? I saw where the Dev said it's under active development but it looks like it hasn't been updated in a few years? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks :)

Excellent, thank you!

Loving this so far but it drains the battery really quickly on my mac (using a 2015 macbook pro full spec'd out) also makes it get hot. I've tried quitting everything except FREM but that didn't seem to help. I'm running it from Steam so not sure if that makes a difference. I checked the activity monitor and didn't see it using lots of resources... so I dunno?

Also I'm yet to figure out how to have a program accept input text without moving/inputting  the text into the editor window.

Other that that having a blast. Thanks!!

Thank you! Believe it or not, the game engine I used is less than five years old. It’s a lowres game engine so it’s made to look old school.

I really like the graphics except for the color of the platforms and spikes being too close to the background color. Visually, it made it a bit confusing. Love the buttery smooth transitions and the flight mechanic. Great job!

Lol! thanks!

The limited snowballs were my attempt at making it challenging (there's only 5 levels). I guess I made it too hard haha. You get more every level for each elf you knock down.

Thank you for the feedback on the font. Unfortunately with Pico-8 I'm limited in that respect as I have to use the built-in font, but I can make the colors contrast more to make it more readable. I'll definitely do that next time.

Thanks again!

If you push the DOWN key it will result in an auto-win, potentially setting an unbeatable, unchangeable best time. Is it too late to fix this?

I just realized I forgot to turn off a debug feature. Whatever you do, DO NOT PRESS the down key, it will result in an auto-win and will save a new best time. If you do this too fast, it will result in an unbeatable, unchangeable best time like 00:00:14... and that's no fun : )

Thanks! You get new snowballs at the beginning of every level (one for every elf you hit).

It's working for me! Thank you!!!

wow thanks for the reply - you are an awesome dev!

Due to having an older mac, I'm stuck on High Sierra, cannot upgrade beyond that. Previous versions of Tic-80 worked fine and my machine is plenty fast to handle it but this newest version (both pro and regular) say that 10.15 is required. Is there any way around this?

I like your concept of a building in the ocean.. reminds me of BioShock :) nice textures too. I would’ve liked to have seen some steps or a dock leading up to it. Really cool overall though. Nice work!

Thanks!

Thank you!

Thank you for the html template! I understand your reasoning but one thing I would mention is that if I want someone to play my game they first have to download the player which makes them less likely to try it. Why not just bundle the player with the export that way you are keeping them together but making it easier for others to play?

Is there any way to build the newest version for iPhone? Would love to be able to gamedev from my phone. Thx!

Any plans to make a desktop or html exporter? I’d be all over this if there were a way to package the end product other than sharing within the app. Great work on this btw it really deserves more attention.

When I download, all I see is the .exe.. Am I doing something wrong? Tried right clicking on the HTML player also but I didn't see any option for a download.

Any plans to bring this to Mac?

Dang would buy this immediately if it had a mac port : /

Is there anyway I could just get the current version compiled with the latest release of the node-webkit? I've been waiting for 127 days. I would just use it in the browser since it works fore me there but it looks like you have to be a patreon member to unlock all the export options. EDIT: I just saw that you unlocked the online editor for another user having the same problem. Is there anyway you could show me some love too?

Excellent, thanks! Really excited to use this to create assets for a mobile game I’m developing.

It works flawlessly in chrome... is there any kind of flag I can pass in to disable the blacklist or force it to run?

Cool, thanks! The Itch build's not working for me.. are you on Windows or Mac?

Hey did you ever get this resolved? I'm having the exact same issue. Mine works in Chrome but not in Firefox or in the desktop version.
