Hi,

You were just missing a couple of things to do the connection.

From memory if you search “donation” after you see the bank statement it becomes very clear that your first impression is the correct one.

I play tested the game with a couple of people who told me the clues were too “on the nose” originally so that’s why I obscured things a little but it seems like I went too far in the other direction…

thanks for your feedback.

Yea I was afraid the game was a little too obscure.

When you say left out do you mean that the story is not clear or the gameplay? (Or both)

if it helps, a lot of the keywords are last names or namea of places (not all of them but a good portion)

there is no ending, it’s up to the player to decide when they think they saw enough to understand the story.

If I am not mistaking there is about 9 different pages.

There is a search bar at the bottom, you just have to search keywords and press enter.

It plays kinda like “her story”

Same problem, I tried on different browsers (safari, chrome, edge) but nothing seems to work…

I made this game for a game jam.

It is my first time making a game that is story driven so I am looking for feedback to improve.

The game itself is a mystery game heavily inspired by her story.

The player has to enter key words in a database and different news articles and pictures will popup depending on the search.

The goal of the game is to put together the story and understand what is happening in a small fictional town.

My main concern is that the story might not be clear, even with all the elements.

I would also like to know how obvious the clues are to find the next keyword and in general what you thnk of the game (don’t hesitate to be brutally honest)

Thanks!
