I think it's fine to not give Steam keys since the game was previously paid-only on itch (not to mention it was only a buck or something). If it was free with optional payment I might be upset, but it wasn't.

(1 edit)

those wizard nerfs hurt badly... please sir leave my boy alone.... the block changes made his projectiles too good so you nerf all his good non-projectiles and don't change them??, whyyyy.....

the next character was teased on twitter a couple times, its this purple rectangular robot lookin dude who has hitboxes on their movement options (like when they walk it hits in front of them and when they land from a jump it makes a shockwave) and might be a grappler kinda thing

After last patch it's Ninja who I think has an issue. I'd need to calculate the actual frame data to be certain but I believe quick slash is mathematically impossible to play around effectively. Pre-patch you could mix up incoming quickslashes by jumping, and then easily punish a whiffed one or carry on with something else out of your jump if they didn't do it. Now with jumpsquat jumping won't get you out of the way quickly enough, so you're forced to parry, and if they choose not to quick slash then Ninja is fast enough to just run up to you and punish the missed block. Basically if they have one in the chamber you are guaranteed to have to guess for parries or else they can just hit you with a quick slash and kick off a 15~ hit combo guaranteed

Been abusing this tonight, sorry to anyone who got owned

love it!

Easily fixed by loading up the previous version of the game in case that isn't obvious

Nice! I got it to 26:38 on my second attempt. I wonder where you saved time?

There doesn't seem to be any sort of algorithm that checks to make sure a level is possible!

I've had levels where I spawned with soda machines on all sides of me, making me unable to move at all! Many levels seem impossible to conquer as well. The curated levels are all very good, and much of the time the random levels are great, but if they were consistently completable without the risk of bad RNG ending your run, the game would be much better. That said, I had a ton of fun with this! Good work!

Thirding a source code request, would love to see how this ticks.
