This game's biggest sin is how little lewd content is has inbetween the amazing exploration, fluid movement, and delightful world building. Absolutely ecstatic to see where it goes!

Based.

Incredibly based.

If/when you cast people...please make it optional to turn down the voice volume. Nothing is worse than a good game with horrible VA that just sounds like your average twitter wannabe breathily moaning into a 20$ mic.

Nope, not a thing.

I ran into a glitch immediately. Even if you select "penis", you still have vagina related masturbation options.

Gotta walk before you run, right? Without the ability to save, adding in a quick restart function would go leagues for both testing and accessibility for the player. What better way to find bugs than to let someone quickly run right back into them while playing normally?

Were I to try to pin down the issue more directly, I'd say it's the lack of ability to prevent the full sequence from beginning. Being able to struggle rapidly out of the initial grab, rather than being dragged under and going through the full struggle, would really make things less aggravating when retreading old ground. That's a problem that a lot of games overlook. It's fine the first time, but what about the second? The third? Maybe even the 8th? Even really GOOD things get annoying at that point, especially if you're dying because of difficulty ramping up. The issue with the vore was the speed. I think the struggle system you made is really neat, given that it's normally just button spam. The issue it brings is in speed, as you can't just spam your way out once you're starting to get annoyed with the frequent stop-go of running into effectively invisible enemies.

In short: Consider adding a brief window to escape immediately before getting pulled into the "swallowed" state. Maybe allow a single QTE that makes the monster spit you out instantly. If you fail it or don't do it, then you get sucked down. Keeps it interactive, but speeds things up. Doesn't intrude upon getting vored, either.

That being said, the enemies do NOT suck. The game's very early on, and as you said, you're learning! Don't be that hard on yourself! Can they be improved? Definitely! Do they suck? Absolutely not. The enemies themselves are pretty neat! They merely need refinement to really shine as their own entities! And that comes with time and experience. Nobody starts at greatness, least of all perfection. Give yourself some more slack!

Hey, as a player of many games, appreciate the addition of options! You'd be shocked (or perhaps not) by how many people making fetish games forget that their players are there for the content. What's the point of a niche game when the niche content is awful to experience because of bad mechanics? Having that included so early on is a grand sign.

I'll definitely give it a try soon, especially with such a rapid response to feedback! You're certainly on a great path of growth, so I wish you the best of luck with your development going forward!

You can run straight out of the map the moment you leave the tutorial by going left. Since there's no restart button, at least not that I found, you have to restart the entire game, elsewise you just fall forever. This also means redoing the tutorial. I stopped playing at that point.

An immediate issue is how the vore is, at least from what I saw, always the exact same. It's more of a nuisance while playing than just enjoyable, as it constantly gets in the way of progression. The fact that you see the exact same animation everytime makes it more annoying than enjoyable as a result. Entering a ghost mouth, but getting the exact same animation as the tongue or worm, is a tad boring. Obviously, it's a very early demo, but one can only critique what is already present.

That being said, allowing people to immediately customize their HP and Stamina is a fantastic idea. It really lets people enjoy the game, which is kind of the point, right? Great touch, there. However, the font is...it's awful. Looking at the settings with that font on a 1440p monitor is prone to give migraines.

Based is the developer that seeks to bolster the community. Long may you reign.

The literal first thing that appears on screen. Never made it past that.

Cannot play game on Chrome Browser. When I loaded it, it was stuck on the title. When I refreshed the page, I got an error.

"I can't use (load-game:) immediately after loading a game."

Additionally, waiting 1 minute and rebooting the browser doesn't make the error stop showing up. A downloadable version may fix many of these issues.

Update: Came back 6 hours later. Still have the same exact error as above.

I'm just curious why this needs a reupload. What happened to the original? More specifically, why was it taken down?

Having to start from the VERY beginning anytime you get digested is really, really discouraging. Given that a lot of people are here for literally that, punishing players so harshly for seeing the scenes is rough. Lacking a generic save feature is...odd. I'm not sure why a clunky passcode is necessary for this.

Really good for something made in a short time! Gameplay is really slow, making it a bit tedious to actually try to complete. The lack of animation for being vored makes for a rather lackluster finale, and some dialogue/taunts would definitely be a great addition to make this feel more substantial. The footsteps are very, very annoying after a walking for a bit. It sounds more like an overtuned heartbeat, and with no options present, it definitely drones on a bit.

All that said, for something made in such a short time, you should be really proud of how it turned out!

Happens to us all at some point, no worries!

All of these could have been uploaded on the same page. There was no need to make multiple for each version.

I haven't even played it yet, but that name is fantastic.

There is an insane influx of pirated games being re-sold on Itchio. Something needs to be done about this.

Goes without saying , but do NOT buy this. You can literally see the pirated URL in the download link.

The school vibes makes way more sense, thanks for the answer! Good luck with your project!

This absolute gooner can't even be bothered to use renders without botched fingers. Not even for the main image.

People will do anything to make a quick buck.

"Inspired by games like Persona and Yandere Simulator"

I....what? In what way? In what possible way did this draw inspiration from Persona?

Thanks for getting back to me so fast! That was an absolutely fantastic step by step walkthrough that was both concise and professional! That all said, it sadly did not fix the issue. After walking through the steps, the application didn't run any differently no matter how many times I rebooted or even toyed with the new settings file myself. I also placed the "settings.json" file in every other subfolder just to see if anything happened. I also removed the brackets from the code and, again, no change. Typed the name and code out manually once to ensure that something didn't go wrong while copy-pasting, and again, no change.

If it helps at all, no settings file existed to begin with, nor was one created after deleting the entire Carnal Witch folder and relaunching the game. Sadly, it seems like creating one had no effect at all. Sorry to trouble you with such a strange issue! The browser version works perfectly fine, thankfully, so I was still able to play your delightful little game all the same.

For whatever reason, the game shrinks to impossibly small scale whenever it boots. I'm on a 1080p monitor and, for about 1 full second, it is almost full screened. Then, it immediately shrinks upon loading the logo screen. None of the usual tricks work for sizing it up, either. The exe is effectively unplayable for me.

Always a good day when a new vore game comes to itchio! Doubly so when it has art to go with it! Godspeed with the development, hero. Godspeed.

I get that money helps and we all have bills, but you spend as much time talking about money as you do describing your game. That's a terrible way to actually get people invested in this. It makes it seem like you care less about telling a story than you do about making money off it. You're also immediately after an insane amount of patrons. 2000? That takes most people years to get. Months if they're incredibly lucky and making very, very high quality stuff.

Not a promising start or look. Feels like something you'll abandon if it doesn't make enough money. I'd highly advise reworking your approach, being more professional, and for the love of god, being more passionate.

There are some mods you can find on the wiki that add some futa stuff. Well, at least one mod.

As fair a reason as any! Thanks for the update!

That's not weird at all or anything

Man has really cheaped out so much, sunken so far, that he's using AI art on his Patreon now. That's beyond hilarious. There really are no depths this urchin is not willing to sink.

How is sub 50% still "good"? That's a failing grade by most metrics. That means it has, numerically, more things bad than good.

Forever shall we wait, my liege.

In your name do we kneel.

I know, right? It's hard enough to find femboys in games, but ones with vore? Practically nonexistent!

No audio is rough. It can really harm an otherwise great game. There are a lot of really good, free to use (with credit given) audio packs for most purposes. Lewd, vore, etc. I've seen quite a few released here on itch in the past year, so thankfully, you're not going to be breaking the bank to add it if you search around a bit!

I have never seen a dev actually respond to a review on here. Wish more people were active like this. Great communication!

Nice! Always great to see a dev listen to feedback!

Now you've got my attention.

Images of the actual game will help draw in players. I advise adding at least 3.
