hello everyone! I am hoping to join this weeks minijam in hopes of actually completing and releasing a project. I am a programmer and currently have a sound engineer ready as well. The engineer is in PST and I am in EST time zones, so differences in your time zone are NOT a big deal. I hoping to form a cohesive team to eventually follow the route of a set of commercial projects I have planned and would like to create. Please message me here and let’s get connected!
Hello everyone.
I have been working in Unity as a hobbyist for ~4 years. I am also in university for Software Engineering. I am looking to make some friends that share the same interests as me in the realm of programming and gamedev. I would like to work on projects together, participate in game jams together, and just sit and chill and talk sometimes. I know a decent amount, and have much much more to learn, and I feel as if I won't find myself getting so demotivated so often if I wasn't tackling this alone. It doesn't matter if you have little to no experience, it doesn't matter if you are simply an artist or sound designer. I am just hoping to make friends that share these same interests that I can collab with, and actually push a project to market, free or commercial, as I have worked on MANY personal projects, but always found myself becoming unmotivated very quickly and abandoning them. I would like a friend to help keep me motivated, and hold me accountable. Someone to talk with and bounce ideas off of. If this sounds like you, please leave a comment and let's get in touch!
It seems enjoyable, however there is a bug present that does not allow you to press jump while you are holding the walk button. I'm still a bit new to C# and programming with Unity, but I believe you should just need to add a script that will allow for multi-touch functionality.
I hope you update in the future as I love platformers and would love to play more.
Edit: There is also an issue I ran into during the early stages of my platformer. When your character collides with the side of a platform he stays there, as if it were sticky. Watch this, starting at the 14.40 mark. This will help you fix that.
