So update, after about another hour of attempts I managed to do it! I can't even imagine how long it would be if I also had to do those mechs again before each of those attempts! The boss is still insanely hard on Veteran, so the challenge is still very much there which is great! It's now just a lot more manageable haha

btw, for anyone else stuck on that last boss with this update you will need to copy your old save file into the new Trenchpunk folder from within your users/<username>/appdata/Roaming/Trenchpunk (I now had two save folders there after booting the new version, one old and one new one)

That would be amazing! Like I said before, the rest of the game is super tight! Been loving the game on Veteran so far, even some of the levels which are rock hard, but they were all possible and I always felt like I could do them. Just this last one that feels impossible for me, even trying to save up all the best ammo for the boss, taking down the 3 mechs with the machine gun and autorifle and still can't seem to do the the guy coming out of the last mech haha

Tried another 4 hours... anyone actually managed to beat the last boss on Veteran? I can't see anyone online who has done it... feels broken.

100% this, awesome game, but this last level is just a bit silly. Playing on hard and having to redo the 3 mech to get the keys over, and over, and over just to get to the actual last boss is very exhausting, but not in a fun kind of way.
I swear most of my attempts at him I simply run out of ammo unless there is a secret in there I'm missing.
I don't mind the boss being hard, but the tedious mech fights at the start wears this down fast. Pretty much all other levels are awesome, even the difficult ones.
Any tips on him at all? as currently I'm completely stuck and don't think I can finish it haha.
