How many layers would you recommend a game with these graphics to have?

This looks familiar. Did you take inspiration from or see Dungeon Gathering? You might like it if you haven't.

I don't know if it was just me, but I was VERY surprised by the resolution/finale. A lot of unforeseen developments made it kinda hard to follow/believe, and I felt a little blindsided. If you had made a less incredible ending, or a maybe fed the player/viewer the puzzle pieces in smaller chunks, I think the ending would be less startling and more engaging. (My perspective may be off cuz I accidentally skipped a few dreams/memories)
All just my opinion, anyway, and I still enjoyed the game and think it was great!!! Thanks for the good time!!!
I am a firm believer and beloved admirer of pixel-art, but this blows everything I've ever seen away. The intricate detail so aptly expressed with so little!!!! AMAZING!!!
Couple questions! Am I right to assume that the tileset includes one instance of each tile type that I should flip/rotate to fit my needs? And likewise for colors? I just modify each tile as needed?

Also, I noticed you have a couple packs with similar mechanics to this one... Which would be a good set to get started on?
