Sent you a request on Discord

What's the best way to get in touch, do you have a discord?

Yeah, let's do something, what sort of thing do you want to make? And what's a good messaging platform for you?

Also  I should add, I will need to get a new computer before I start (hoping to get one before the end of the month, might also need advice on that)

Yeah, I'm up for it.  What sort of thing are you thinking? Also should say, I will need to get a new computer before I start (hoping to get one before the end of the month, might also need advice on that)

Hi,

I'm very new to games development, haven't even really started yet. The issue is my current machine is too slow for literally anything (10 years old,  dying. was low-mid tier gaming when I got it)

So I need a new machine anyway, but don't want to have to upgrade soon. I'm looking at the specs for UE5 and I'm getting wildly inconsistent answers (e.g. RAM ranges from 8GB to 64GB). Any advice on why there is such a big gap?

I'm currently thinking about the Maxed out KIller V1 or the regular Killer V2 (Hoping to be able to get the RAM on one stick to make upgrades easier) https://computerorbit.com/collections/gaming-pcs#killergorilla

Any advice on the following is appreciated

  - those machines for UE5

  - upgradability

  - general advice on the situation

Hi All,

I am a software developer by Profession, mainly having worked with  web development but I have also used, Java/C# and played with Python and Rust for my own projects (I've also used other languages as a one of for coding puzzles).

However I have no experience in game making, the closest I have ever done is a sound based flappy bird knock-off in a game jam. I know basically nothing about what goes into it and would love to be able to join a team

  •   could benefit from taking on someone to handle the simpler tasks
  • is willing to guide me to help me learn in my time
