Not sure if intentional, but this game is not public.
Just remember to make it public before the deadline :)

Great original concept for a game. The controls feel good, and the sprites and animations are cool.

It's a shame that the main character ends up being so small on my screen. It looks like their animations are really cool.

It's really difficult, though. I often die from moving into an enemy that is just barely off-screen. Maybe it's the camera that needs to be tweaked? I'm not sure.. Maybe it's just my strats ;)

Great game! Original mechanics, lots of depth, pretty to look at and fun to interact with. I like.

Unsure of what the objective of this game is. The title makes it very clear that I'm a rat, but I'm not sure what to do.

I found the floating candle, and I discovered that the well is not that deep, heh.. but I haven't found any "game" apart from the exploration aspect.

Also, you could probably have done away with not having the green capsule, and just call it a first person game ;)

I like the idea of playing a game as a small critter though. Could probably be explored more.

Fun game! The environment is beautiful, and the controls feel good.

The ricochet mechanic is good fun, once I got used to it.

The animal AI is a bit simple, most enemies are pretty easy to kite around. Except those damn pesky sheep.. grr. Having the wall obstacles also helps make avoidance a bit more difficult.

But the scoreboard seems broken? Hm...

Cool concept! Well executed. Simple, and straight to the point.

The aesthetic reminded us a little bit of flash dress-up games or makeup games.

Oh, and we got 2nd place on our first try with 22 points. Yay!

Probably my favorite game from this gamejam so far.

It's original, it's polished. It's easy to understand and hard to master.

My best score is 11, but I usually die to stupid blunders. I bet I can do better!

I'm curious about how you did the opponent AI. Did you adapt an existing chess engine, or write your own?

Difficult game. I managed to get the sword once, then died shortly after, heh.

(1 edit)

After reading the text, I knew what to do. I got to 370, and am proud of that score.

The controls were a bit clumsy, though.

A bit confusing that the colors have to be mixed up. I don't think it would have been any less fun if they were going to their own color.

I like playing with the physics in this game. It's kinda satisfying.

Really fun game. Pretty, too!

I played for a really long time, but then the leaderboard didn't show up after :/

Oh and the setting makes absolute zero sense. I like it though.

Took me a while to figure out that it's a rhythm game! I didn't find a way to see the leaderboard, but i didn't understand most of the menus anyway

Fun concept! But it seemed like the best strategy was to basically afk. I managed to get an okay score, though :)

I made it to 40-something. This is pretty good for a first gamejam game.

It's a bit confusing that I play as a reticale but can't shoot.

I love the colors! It was a bit hard to figure out the controls at first, since WASD didn't work for me.

Cool game! It has a really polished look and feel. It's straight to the point, and satisfying to play.

Gameplay was a bit simple, it could have used an original twist.

Thanks for making it!

Nice game! I wonder if the best strategy is to just eat a single piece of food, and try to last as long as possible, since you get points for standing still? Didn't manage to go above 1500 anyways, though :P

Mr. Strawman scared me a bit. Didn't expect enemies in this setting lol. I really like the graphics, obviously not a lot of content (unless i missed some), but considering the time frame, very nice job!

I like it! Nice music :) I was confused at first when i tried swimming to the right, since the fish have almost the same speed as you, so it seemed like no fish were spawning.

I would like to play this, but I don't have a windows box :(

Really flipping hard. My best is 17.

Ends a bit suddenly, but otherwise it's a fun and original concept.

It's not totally clear if I played perfectly or not.. I think I did, but it would be nice with clear feedback if I miss one.

I don't understand how to play this game at all... Very confused.

Some instructions / clarification would be useful.

I love it! So very Windows!

Honestly really fun to play, but it's frustrating that you can lose even when playing perfectly.

It would be nice to guarantee a minimum ratio of heal items to damage items.

Love the aesthetic and combat mechanics.

Walking around on the empty map feels a bit confusing and pointless; but the pokemon/undertale combat system is wonderful.

same for me :(

game looks cool, though!

How wonderfully lame. Perfect for this jam.

The cards look a little too similar for me to remember easily.. I started doing it by sound instead- but may of those are duplicate, right?

Sick! I was worried people weren't going to discover the backflip, so I'm glad you did!

I think the game is too hard with the current settings. A good run for me is >500m, and I don't think I've gotten >1km yet. What scores are you getting?

Thanks!

...and yeah: we weren't really sure what qualifies for "lame" in this jam, so we just went for it.

I think we all expected it to end up way shittier - especially because we were drunk half the time while working on it, and had other things to do too. But it turned out pretty okay I think.
