As long as fidelity is kept high enough and overly risky decisions are not made, one would be on the safe route.

Regarding the Harem, if you want to form it, for now, go for all those that lead to a better relationship with Adara and the wife. In the future, there will be many more options, and each will have its ways.

Regarding the NPCs, yes, they are quite challenging, as the equipment system (with rarity, runic forging, and equipment enhancement subsystems) and the improved combat system (with skill rebalancing, NPCs, among many other additions) are still in development.
