I liked the start, everything was calm and nothing happened.
I liked the simple tasks that I had to do like fixing the horn, going to sleep and such.
The idea that someone else was in the lighthouse was unsettling which was really nice. But I did expect more "horror". It was not really scary. Also that one "jumpscare" in that underground made me give less stars because it's really unneccesary and the animation looks goofy :/

Cool ideas but could've been way better. Keep it coming, though!

4/10 = 2 stars :)

I love this game a lot!!
The atmosphere was SO good!
That one guy behind the tree that you could see without doing anything was super disturbing (in a good way). And the fact that the character didn't ask anything was SUPER important for the atmosphere and made it even scarier.
I loved the graphics style aswell!
Super cool idea I wish it was a bit longer! Like an actual game! :)

I liked it a lot!

10/10 = 5 Stars ^-^

This was an alright experience!
At first I thought this was gonna be a pure trash game but it turned out to be better than I thought. The graphics are bad obviously but it didn't bother me too much. I care about atmosphere more. The atmosphere in this game was actually pretty okay. I was wondering through the hallways and rooms and I thought this was just gonna be like a P.T. thing but with only the first room and infinitely long. And then I heard this guy saying "Patient 1324 please..." the voice how it's edited was very cool! I like such weird edited voices. I didn't get the hint at first but got it after a minute. Since then the game started to get really good. It was more interesting. I didn't quite understand why we were there? Yes a car accident happened but there is not much backstory or did I miss something? Are those four heads the death victims that I killed when I cause the car accident? That's what I think. It's a pretty basic story but cool nonetheless.
So when it said "YOU ARE PROGRESSING TOO FAST" I kind of got chills a little bit because it was just a weird message to me... why would the game tell me that? And also the even weirder and scarier voice "Patien 1324...." did really really good to the atmosphere.

So overall pretty okay but I think that someone peeking around the corner of the hallway(s) would have been really REALLY cool, without a sound or anything. Maybe you could do that and say that those were the victims that died in the car crash, that they haunt me in the afterlife now?
That's my idea for a little bit more horror. ^^

Thank you for this experience!

6/10 = 3 stars :)

Alright so I usually don't really like 2D Horror-games but this one was good!
I like the graphics style as well as the sounds.
The idea with "the force" was also really really nice! I didn't expect that.
The monster design was actually pretty cool for a 2D game aswell.
Though I have to say, the first jumpscare is kinda too much. The idea was very VERY cool, the eyes on the wall, amazing! BUT what ruined it was the extra loud sound played with it. That was not necessary at all, of course you're gonna get jumpscared when everythings quiet and suddenly a loud noise blasts your ears away. So that's a little bit of a - . Also I reckon that it would have been even cooler if no sound played at all but they eyes would stay there for like 1-2 seconds. What I mean is keep the design and the idea but remove the sound entirely or replace it with a quieter and scarier sound, like a high tone violine? I can not really explain it.
The atmosphere overall was pretty okay. I wish more happened with the picture though. ^^

One minor mistake I saw is that when you pick your language "english", it would still say "Open door" in russian (or whatever it said), but in the 2nd/3rd room it started to be english. Not a huge deal but also not to just forget.

Thank you for this experience!

I mean it was alright. I did like the beginning it was really nice and at first I thought it's gonna be a P.T. kind of thing but it wasn't. So yeah the atmosphere inside that apartment was really really good. Though I would not allow the player to enable all lights, the living room + kitchen was really scary in the dark. The graphics were alright, not too bad but not the best either. The performance was great, had no lags or any other issues. So the atmosphere was cool but that one "monster" (which I assume is from Friday the 13th) is really not scary and more so silly cause it's just standing there like a picture, it's not even moving (i would at least make it look like it's breathing and following you with his eyes/head). Another thing I found cool is that you had to turn off the lamp to be able to move forward (to actually move on with the game) and yeah I mean it's basic but it's still cool. The chase was alright too though it would've been better if he was a bit quicker. Also I wish there was more...scary things? I don't know how to put this. It didn't feel like a horror game as much.
For the efforts I'd give this game a:

3/10 = 2 stars

Thank you for the experience though!

I really really liked this one... actually I don't know if I liked it. :D

It has an absolute amazing atmosphere.
I liked the environment, it was really tight and the hallways were really scary. You not being able to see anything 5 metres in front of you makes this game really terrifying.
I also liked the graphics style, was pretty cool.
The sounds were alright but what got me the most were those real life videos/pictures... with that one guy shaking his head weirdly at the train station and all the others aswell. I did not expect that at all since it's a pixel game but it was really well implemented! I was really scared of going out of the rooms and it was just disturbing and making me feel really really uncomfortable. And when I died for whatever reason and wanted to press "Replay" I got jumpscared SO hard I threw my headset away and that literally never happened. Also that first jumpscare where they hand came flying towards you was pretty good too!

The monster design was kinda meh (the one who was walking around) but maybe it's also just the silly animation that it had.
There is a bug: You can't go up the stairs sideways (using key A or D), you will get really really slow and it would take you literally minutes to get up. So you have to look forward and press W when going up the stairs. Not gamebreaking but worth mentioning.
The voice acting is okay, it was cute ^^
The biggest problem of this game is that you can not tell if the heart sounds (or even the step sounds of the monster) comes from upstairs or downstairs... so it's kind of annoying and frustrating when you look for the heart downstairs but realise it's actually upstairs or when you don't know where the monster is (that's literally why I died, I got out of the "deamon world" and the monster was right in front of me).

I didn't fully finish the game and after the second try I just gave up because it was too terrifying and I didn't want to see that uncomfortable footage again. That was literally the worst (best) part of the game.

9/10 = 5 Stars! :)

Contains spoilers:
This was a very very good demo!
- The voice acting in the beginning were meh but I loved the tapes and especially the last one, cause that's where I started to get chills. Wonderful how the tape just stopped.
- I liked the simple tasks and also the fact that you had to look behind you to see if that siren is still there also was making me really uncomfortable (in a good way).
- So when you headed to generator, you had to go back to get that one canister you saw in that house. I expected something to happen but nothing happened and I was even more scared on the way back again.
And when you finally filled up the generator, there was someone peeking into that room, looking at you. I literally screamed. I don't even know why?? It's just a simple jumpscare, why did it scare me so much? I usually don't scream when I get jumpscared but this one really got me to scream, very very well placed jumpscare and so simple aswell. I think I liked it because it was peeking, and not just standing there.
- The Sirenhead at the end was kinda meh and you could've turned that into a jumpscare aswell :D
- The environment was pretty cool!
- Sounds were alright aswell :D Not much to say about them

Game was good!
For a demo this is a:

9/10 = 5 stars

Ayy same! :D Loved those 2 games and as soon as I saw the environment it reminded me of White Day and when the Evil Soul caught me it reminded me DreadOut, really cool!

(1 edit)

It reminded me of those 2 games aswell hahaha! Mentioned it in my review aswell :D

Contains spoilers:
I reallllyyyyyy liked this game! I liked the graphics style and especially the environment... a japanese/chinese (whatever it is). Immediately reminded me of White Day: A Labyrinth named School.

- I also loved the controls/movement. The only thing is, when you are near a wall, it gets very weird and a little hard to control the camera for example when you walk down the stairs. I know it's hard to adjust that but still :D
- Also the sounds were really good, it was pretty quiet and the footsteps were really spiking out.
- Also when it said "Don't let the evil sounds find you" (or something similar) I already got chills because I just didn't know how they look like, I didn't know how I would know when they are following me or "finding me". That's what really got me scared on the beginning. When I heard the music or heartbeat, I was panicking and looking around everywhere because I couldn't see the evil soul, so that's a nice aspect aswell!
- Though what I kind of disliked is the "monster" design. I loved how the character you control looks but that "monster" is kind of...I'm not sure. I just wish there was a scarier evil soul, maybe something flying and not running after you? And with an actual body, not just an outline and also maybe not a human? If there was some story then I would've understood why you would take that as the evil soul.
- Also when the evil soul catches you, this happens (= screenshot 5). It immediately reminded me of Dread Out, very very cool!
- When you finally found all 3 keys it says "Find your soul and go to the exit". It sounds like "To find your soul, go to the exit" so I thought that if I would leave, I would find my soul. But I didn't know that my soul was that girl (me) sitting in that one classroom and that I have to walk up to her and make her follow me. So maybe I would change the end task to "Find your soul or exit the school" or "Find your soul then exit the school".
I liked that this game had 2 endings though! Really good!
- When you made your soul follow you, you couldn't run too fast because the soul would stay behind and not follow you anymore. I absolutely loved that "feature". It made the chase (if it happened) a bit harder and more intense, really really good!

It's hard for me to rate this game...everything was really good except the monster/evil soul design. But with a great monster design it would be a 10/10.
So I'll give this one a:

9/10 = 5 stars :)

I liked this game!
It has cool graphics I really enjoyed them! The sounds were okay, pretty generic but regardless, they were cool as well as the voice acting, it's not bad!
The environment is a little generic aswell but scary nonetheless. I really liked how when you looked through that one door which leads to the basement you see that statue looking at you, that's kinda cool.
I liked the one jumpscare where you went into the basement and you couldn't open the door and then someone or something ran up on you behind you :D I got jumpscared.
So there is a good and a bad ending. The good ending is just going to bed. The thing is that you can just do it straight in the beginning, you dont have to collect the flashlight, you dont have to go downstairs - nothing. You can just press E on your bed and boom you got the good ending. I don't know if that is planned but for me personally I would make the character first explore the house etc...
I really liked how the tapes went crazier and crazier after each one, I loved the last tape so much! That's where I started getting chills and also those sound effects after that one... The bad ending was pretty cool aswell! You had to go through those doubledoors and the floor kept expanding and I liked that! And finally when you enter your house as a little kid, you run upstairs and see your dad. I like how he just stared at the tapes and listened to them, was really scary! But that jumpscare at the end was kinda expected and meh
Also I would've loved to have some subtitles to those tapes since I couldn't understand all of it (not a native speaker) and I think that wouldn't be so much of an effort :D
Also I had no clue what the syringe with that green liquid was supposed to be for? That's still an open question.
The atmosphere overall was really really good!
Thanks for this awesome experience :)

I'm not a professional reviewer of horror games or anything, I'm just stating my own opinion  so don't take it too heart as much :) BUT I'm honest with all the reviews I do.
Also I'd then suggest you to take a little longer time in practising and in general take your time with making games, get some inspirations, watch some tutorials or whatever. But you should expect bad feedback if you release a bad game, ya know?

Also I wouldn't really rely on/trust the "YouTuber's" opinions...they mostly only say nice things so you like their video or share their video or whatever. Of course not everyone is like that but still. As for me, my reviews are 100% honest, brutally honest.
Thanks for reading it though. :) Just take your time with making games. Practice makes perfect.

I have no words for this to be honest.
It starts off very weirdly, my mouse cursor was still visible throughout the whole game and why would you make the player hold down the left mouse button for the flashlight to stay turned on? The environment was alright, wasn't that bad but you could've done more with the surrounding. Also those 4 clues you had to find...why were these some black weird bubbles? And you had to walk on them for some seconds so it gets discovered? And the items/objects that were in those bubbles...why? What do they have to do with anything?
I know this is supposed to be a short game and probably for the 2 minute game jam but still...you couldve done way more with this. I don't consider this a horror game.

1/10 = 1 star

I'm not quite sure what to say to this? I wouldn't classify this as a horror game. I did like the graphics and the simple tasks you had to do but it went full trashy when you checked the closet and then the dad goes oh no!! how is that possible!?!?!? And then a trashy designed monster comes flying at you.
I may am taking this game too serious but regardless...it's not a horror game and doesn't belong in this category.

1/10 = 1 star

I loved this horror game so much!!!
I loved the graphics style and I admired the environment.
I made myself jumpscare. I went to talk to her when she was explaining what the first room is for and that she sits there with children and they talk and then we finished talking and I had to move on to the next room. But then I went back to check the beginning room because I saw 2 paintings (I think) and clicked on them. Then I turned around and suddenly she was standing behind me. I was literally screaming, it was so so damn scary! And that didn't just happen once, it happened like 2 or 3 times cause I always went back in the beginning rooms and she always was behind me when I turned around. That is such a cool feature and only that makes me already want to give it 7/10 points.
The story was alright, pretty simple and typical but regardless I liked it.
The sounds were really really good aswell. I liked how you could interact with some things!
And I also liked how when you put the camera down, you're still in the perspective of that camera. And I absolutely loved the design of Maria's back, very cool!
Also when she expanded her "tentacle" I was already expecting for it to snap on the camera but I still got jumpscared by that, that one sound was also very well placed there!
The atmosphere for such a short game was a 10/10...just because of the fact that it was small rooms and the fact that she teleports behind you.
This is probably one of the best 2 - 3 minute horror games I have ever played.
Thanks a lot for this experience!

10/10 = 5 stars! :)

I try my best to give as much/the best feedback I can give and also, I am very honest with my reviews even if it's a 2/10 or 1/10 I would still post a comment (and of course with explanations and examples of why I didn't like the game or what I didn't like about it).

And thank you for explaining the cause of performance problems to me. As I said, it didn't really matter in this game :D Still enjoyed it!
Though as I can see...the others didn't have problems with FPS/performance...but why?
My specs are:
CPU: Amd Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050ti 4GB
Ram: 16GB
Should actually run quite good or not..?

Have a nice day! :)

Well..it is really laggy. I'm not sure if it could be my PC since my specs are pretty good:

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050ti 4GB

RAM: 16GB

So I doubt that the lag is caused by my PC.  But what I mean is that it's low FPS.
And yes I understand that you prefer working on atmosphere, it's just really hard to do that with a short game...but nothing's impossible!
I'm looking forward to your remake! :)

The game was okay. I like the pixelated graphic style and I did like the atmosphere. But it was kinda meh...not sure how to explain it but it's not really scary. Sure the jumpscares were alright but regardless. Also when you died you came into that cell and I didn't know what to do so I had to restart the game...

Thanks for the experience though.

3/10

It was okay
The performance was horrible...
The environment was pretty alright but you could've done more with the other rooms (upstairs, downstairs). I know it's not supposed to be a long game.  The sounds were mediocre and the monster design was pretty trashy. Though I did get chills when you wanted to exit your appartment but kept waking up in your room and then the radio changes everytime you wake up, that's what I really liked. But it has too few horror elements imo and I did kind of expected a jumpscare but there was no. For such short game and especially for that kind of a game, a jumpscare would've been good.

I still thank you for this experience :)

4/10

I liked this game :D
It's simple but I like it. Horor games with babies are even scarier imo.  The performance was a little bit meh but it didn't really matter in this game.
I really liked that one jumpscare where that  baby became demonic, it got me, not too hard but it got me. Also I really really loved how when you were picking the baby up from the changing table, you wanted to put it to sleep but it teleported in front of the stairs and you could see his eyes being red for like half a second, that's where I started to get chills, that was a really really nice horror element. Also when you had to get Talisman, that music was playing and it sounded like a "chase soundtrack" and it would've been even better if the baby chased you and then when you get the Talisman, it teleports back to the changing table and out of the sudden theres no music anymore as soon as you pick up the Talisman. That would've been a cool idea! :) I also loved how the baby looked (sad) at you when you had to carry it to the cot for the last time!
Thanks for this experience!

6,5/10

I'm kinda...shocked. First of all, I liked this game a lot. I liked the graphics, sounds (voice acting), environment and the "monster design" as well as the design of the father and also not to forget, I liked the font a lot and it fit really well here. It's a very dark game...especially the ending.
I hope none of you actually feel that way...
Thank you for this experience.

I have literally never played a better 2 minute horror game!!! This is amazing, I loved the atmosphere, I loved the graphics, I loved the sounds!!  Also I admire that one jumpscare when you looked to the right and then that face there... amazing, already got chills at that point. And when the thing of the ventilation shaft fell down...was very good cause I was scared something would jump out of there. And then finally the last jumpscare...I literally screamed and I usually never scream when I get jumpscared! But I literally screamed and I freaking loved it. I can't believe how you managed to create such a nice atmosphere even though the game is just 2 minutes long!!  Best short horror game I have ever played.

10/10!

Edit: Forgot to mention: The camera sensitivity is pretty low even when set to maximum. :)

Disclaimer: Contains spoilers:
To be honest, it wasn't that bad of a game!
It was a pretty cool, short little experience with some usual trashy jumpscares but they were some jumpscares which weren't bad, especially when you opened that door to the bathroom.
Thanks for this little experience :)
7/10

I know that :p

(1 edit)

This is actually the first "horror" game I had to quit. I think I was almost at Act 5 (if there even is an Act 5).
I didn't like this game. The only good part was when you entered that one room that opened and a little bit after that. That was okay and scary but the rest was just so so so boring. Lights are out, voices in your head, blood things on the wall and blah blah.
It takes too long for something to happen and I didn't get the story at all.
Sorry that's really the worst "horror" game I've played so far.
1/10

(1 edit)

I have not played this game but I have watched it a million times!! I absolutely admire this one, the graphics are awesome but the sound...the sound was so terrifying and so well done. Especially the film sequences as well as this one woman who follows you. I really really can't express how much I love this game. It also has perfect pace and the game wasn't too short, it was literally perfect.
If I could, I would give 6 stars.
Also I love the games from you anyway! Timore and all that stuff. I absolutely admire your work, keep it up!!
10/10 <3

I have never experienced this kind of horror!!
The concept is just amazing and the atmosphere was hella good aswell!
The ending was the most scariest part where everything went dark.
Amazing concept, have never seen it anywhere before! :D
9/10

Just because I like one aspect of a game doesn't mean I have to give it better rating? smh, the graphic style they choose was good, but what they made out of it was shit.

It was kind of okay.
It's a little trashy.
The graphics were kind of meh and the soundtrack sounds like it's from a mobile horror game. Though the mannequins looks cool also I like that they follow you with their head wherever you go.
Thank you for this experience!
4/10! :D

A short, pretty okay horror experience.
I liked the graphics, especially when that monster came and everything the world was kind of "transfering" into the other world, really cool.
The sounds were really really good on that train and the "jumpscare" was alright.
For 2 minutes that's an alright game!
5/10! :D

It was a funny experience, though I really did expect more (I don't read game's descriptions before playing them). The graphics were really cool aswell as the evironment, sounds were pretty solid and the first "jumpscare" was actually not that bad. But I reckon this game is just a "fun horror game", so...not to be taken as seriously. I still liked the experience :p
6/10! :D

It wasn't that bad actually. I loved the graphics and the film grain fits perfectly in this game.
The story was pretty okay for such a short game. The sounds/soundtrack is cool aswell!
Thank you for this experience. There is not really much to say :p
7/10! :D

To be honest, it does have potential.
The questions appearing take a little too long after you've answered one in my opinion but I know they take long because that's how you build tension or atmosphere. The questions themselves were standard questions but good nonetheless. The sounds were alright though there is no story/backstory or anything.
But as I said, this game has potential and the end says that you're going to update it and that there will be multiple endings soon.
Keep working on it! :D
