I say that you should give a try. If you have some C knowledge there are some C-based development kits, like SGDK (Sega Genesis/Mega Drive) and GBDK 2020 (Game Boy). If you only know C++ there is a C++ engine for the GBA https://github.com/GValiente/butano

You play as a knight that will try to collect all the coins in the forest not matter what while avoinding the enemies and obstacles in his way.

A short and simple Game Boy game made with GBDK-2020 for the Game Boy Competition 2021. You play as a knight that will try to collect all the coins in the forest not matter what while avoinding the enemies and obstacles in his way.
Endless runner inspired by vvvvvv's reverse gravity mechanic made with the Godot game engine. You play as Spike and you have to avoid the spikes on the floor and ceiling by reversing gravity.
Major Changes:
- Reworked the art of the game.
- Changed the resolution of the game.
- Added coins to the gameplay.
This is my first tileset. I'm still relative new to pixel art but I decided to share what I've made, in case that someone like it and wanted to use it.
Includes
- 32 x 32 Grass/Ground tileset, a water variant and some dungeon tileset
