Oooooh, I came back to this game after such a long time and it got even better! As previously, I adore the art and aesthetics, but also, I want to express my utter joy on how fleshed-out all the secondary characters are! (Crying as a player because I have a big fat crush on Mandra... but I cannot let my poor Commander ditch Matt, they are a set, do not separate!)
Spent a large chunk of my day off playing and had a blast, thank you so much for sharing it!!
I have seen that the Commander's face position changes depending on the personality, but how many archetypes are there? (Do you have a fav one?) Ngl, I felt happy when my Commander raised their head proudly. Like, good for them. (sorry if my message is chaotic; I am not the best at writing reviews, but I won't let the lack of eloquence stop me from praising your game)

This has been on my play later list forever and I've finally got to play the game and let me tell you: I regret I haven't done this sooner! This is so, so lovely! I love how you set up the opportunities to create different dynamics between characters and how convincing and natural all of them feel, even though the vibe is very different!
The story has such a great flow and thought-out feel and I'm really really curious as to how it will end.
Yeah, switching the browser helped! Thank you. Now on to actually check the game out! (I've played a bit and I'm super torn between the discomfort of being a cop and a joy of doing detective thingies :D )
Also a thing: apparently, forcing my phone to lock screen into vertical also made things look like they are supposed to in Chrome. So idk if it'll help you with looking into it or give any inkling of what could be the reason.
Hi! I probably missed smth but is there any way to make the game vertical on mobile? Horizontal is kinda awkward (off-centered, so every time a page refreshes I have to scroll down to get any text, and if I scroll wrong, it feels like I'm scrolling text within the text box but I have to scroll down first to get to the text box ) and too big to browse/navigate and turning on desktop site mode makes interface vertical but too small.
I'm using the latest version of Chrome mobile, if that makes any difference
Actually, I have figured out a workaround if you are still playing! Hit Shift+A once in game and it brings up Ren'Py acessebility menu that allows you to enlarge the font or to use the sans type font. May look wonky in some cases (e.g save game info) but looks fine in dialogues and I was able to play with no problems! Wish there was a built-in version in the menu for that, though.
Ahhhh man I'm terrible at writing reviews but I liked this one so much I'll risk rolling Rethoric: Heroic just once :D
This was so fun and in-character! I love how you kept the spirit of the original in transitioning to VN format. The artstyle and music are wonderful fit, too! Looking forward to more and thank you for bringing more Disco Elysium to the masses!
Ahhhhhh, it's such a great game? When I first came across EL, almost 2 years ago, I was drawn in by pretty elves, not gonna lie. Ultimately tho, now that the game is out I can say for sure that it was the story that kept my interest, as I was second-guessing my theories about what was going on up till the very end.
I went through all the routes, and, honestly, it's been a long time since I was left so satisfied with the entirety of a VN. Probably because the game has such an abundance of choices, dialogue-wise. Also, lemme tell you: I adore when I can roleplay as a bit (or VERY) mean character so the game has been such a tasty treat in this regard. (And don't get me started on romances. I adored all of them, and for me, someone who always ends up having no more than two favourites... it's a pleasantly surprising developement.)
Really, I can only praise the game and thank you for the effort and dedication you put into it!
Hello! I've enjoyed the demo a lot! The story so far seems interesting, and the art is so so nice, glad the kickstarter is still going :)
Heads up: I've encountered the error where save\load options caused the game to freak out. Here's the log:
I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

ETA: somehow unpacking the demo to the different location solved this problem for me, idk why.
I've stumbled across this game by chance, and... Let's just say I'm amazed by how well-done it is. I adore the artstyle, the storyline and that you can shape main character's personality and have it reflected in various ways (tho I was a bit confused at first by character trait scales being so dark, as it is a bit hard to see, but that's just me nitpicking). Can't wait to play the final version!
Also, I'm amazed that you are doing something so time- and effort-consumig for free. Totally going to donate once I get my paycheck next week!
