I could imagine the reason so many still use Windfield is because there's a popular course on Udemy that uses it. That's where I learned Love2d and only found out later that it's no longer supported.

I'll be making a switch later but for now it works.

There is currently a bug in this version where, when crafting with your last remaining resources, the wrong items may occasionally be removed from your inventory. A fix for this will be included in the next update.

I love this game. The gameplay is very addicting.

I had to get his to support your work. It's amazing!
I'm sure I'll add it to my game at sometime.

Great work as always! I'm glad to see you’ve reached your goals, well deserved. I’m excited to see what you will come up with next! While I wait, I did a small recolor of the tools and swords for my game. Nothing major, but it was something I needed to do.

If anyone else wants to use my unofficial recolor, feel free, no credit to me is necessary. If you'd like to include it in your pack, I'd be honored, and again, no credit is needed.

Tools/Sword Recolor

Lets gets those numbers higher!

Glad you're enjoying seeing your art come to life!
Thanks for the heads up on 0.05. Not sure what happened, but I uploaded a new compiled copy.

Thanks. The artwork is done by https://kenmi-art.itch.io/ with a little recolor work done by myself. I rarely use discord so giving it out at this time would be pointless. If I do start using it more I'll post a link on my itch page here.

I'm writing this in Lua using the Love2d framework.

I just wanted to give a huge thank you to Kenmi for the incredible work! I’m using them as placeholders for my game, and they’ve been perfect for achieving the style I’m going for. Your work is truly inspiring, and it’s clear a lot of thought and effort has gone into creating these assets.

If possible, I’d love to see more character options in the future. Additional characters or a customizable character template with variations in hairstyles, eye styles, clothing, and gender would be incredibly helpful for my project.

Hello everyone!

I’m excited to announce my current project, First Fantasy, a 2.5D casual adventure RPG with a nostalgic 16-bit style. First Fantasy is currently in early alpha development, but I wanted to share it with you all and get some feedback as I continue to build out the game.

About First Fantasy:

  • Genre: Casual Adventure RPG
  • Graphics & Music: Classic 16-bit style
  • Core Features:
    • Real-Time Combat: Engage in dynamic battles with various enemies.
    • Farming: Grow crops and manage your own farm.
    • Crafting & Mining: Gather resources and craft essential tools and items.
    • Exploration: Discover new areas, solve puzzles, and uncover secrets.

Current Development Stage:

The game is still in early alpha, so there’s a lot more to come! Right now, I’m focused on refining the menus and UI, at the moment inventory is a must. Many features are still being developed, and your feedback would be invaluable as I continue to shape the game.

Artwork and Music:

Please note that the current artwork and music are placeholders. I’ll be creating all the final assets myself as development progresses, so expect significant changes in the visual and audio aspects of the game.

What’s Next?

In the coming weeks, I’ll be working on:

  • Working on the menus and UI
  • Add the crafting system
  • Adding new minable resources
  • Adding the starts of the skill system.

Get Involved!

I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the current build. Whether it’s gameplay mechanics, visual style, or anything else, your input will help make First Fantasy the best it can be. Feel free to share your ideas, suggestions, or any questions you might have.

Thank you for your support, and I look forward to sharing more updates with you as the development of First Fantasy continues!

Cheers, Retro Kevin
