Hi. I’m not sure if I’m going to make a game for the jam or not, but recently I’ve been playing around with various ways to use AI like Google Gemini to make an interesting experience.

I’m wondering if I’m allowed to connect to an AI like Google Gemini as a feature in the game, as long as I don’t use it to generate code or art? If not I’ll try to think of something else… or I might do something else anyways, idk lol. Just wondering if you all think it’s an ethical option for a game jam.

Does it follow the basic guidelines that are given (such as not having NSFW content)? Yes. Yes you can. You can use any engine, for any platform, on any device, with any team, using any tools, at any time. :)

And because I have used to be a frequent user of engines like Scratch and Game Builder Garage, I'm going to ESPECIALLY clarify that you CAN use those. Even console game engines like dreams are okay!

(Also, sorry for the late start this year. I was thinking I had a month or so left until I had to schedule a new jam, but it kind of snuck up on me! 😅)

It wasn't approved you just kind of did it and we didnt punish you since all you changed was fixing a single filename error

But overall it's pretty good, and funny lol

Just FYI, in the browser version I can't "press escape to exit" since pressing ESC exits the fullscreen.

I finally got around to making Linux and MacOS ports, but they're untested. Let me know if you have any problems! :)

Nice! :D

Nice! :D

Yeah, your code was pretty easy to understand, so thanks for that! :D

Sorry I'm too stupid and also I'm done with this project 💀

I made the patch update specifically for this issue. Nothing else has changed.

As of the latest patch update this has been FIXED! ...I think. Probably. Let me know if you have issues still.

Wow that was really cool

Click on them.

Yeah IDK, that's something that happens to some people, including me sometimes. I think it's on mod.io's end, so I can't do much about it. I think if you press "download" and then close and reopen the game and go back to the online levels menu it should download then. That's how I've done it in the past when it happened.

Yeah, the music was originally meant to get worse and worse the more you died. Jonas removed the idea pretty early on lol.

This game is canceled lmao

It was used in the original WYS prototype, in one of the early devlogs. Also this game is canceled lol.

Feel free to share your levels under this thread OR make your own forum thread for level(s) you made!

The YouTube Audio Library.

It's "Emergency On Level 3" by Jeremy Korpas

Also might wanna look into the legality of the Minecraft pressure plate sound. :)

But it's a really cool concept!

Okay, so... Quick advice... I wouldn't use that... uh... "surprise" too much if I were you because it's copyrighted.

You may have needed to click on the game window to focus it. Sort of like you need to click on a NORMAL window that has a close, minimize, and fullscreen button, in order to interact with it fully.

Yeah, I basically cranked post processing ALL the way up.

I was basing the game off of Icoso's game, which he showed off in a video but never published to be played. The screenshots were for reference. :)
