Absolutely loved the feel of this game! Even something as simple as the flashlight mechanic gives it so much more realism! I also loved how every inch of the place was utilized in some way!

My only suggestion would be to possibly make the beginning apartment number prompt last longer or something along those lines!

Again, really loved the execution of this game, and looking forward to "The Condo Below" ;)

This was by far the scariest horror game I've ever played! The way the ambience was setup to the detail of the body cam camera movement and lighting was just excellent, not to mention the timing of the scares! Really great job all around!

Usually I put a suggestion right here, but honestly, I don't think I really have anything to suggest here, outside of potentially limiting the amount of ammo? But even that is a LIGHT suggestion!

Again, super great horror experience! Can't wait to see a full release!

Had a bunch of fun with this one! Loved the use of the realistic sound design with some of the knocking and stepping! For being so short, I think the story was laid out and paced quite well! Really enjoyed it!

The only suggestions I would have is to reduce the jumpscare volume for sure. It sure got me good, but I think it was just a bit too much compared to the rest of the game audio. I would also love to see more sound design and interaction, such as ambient noise in the house, my own footsteps, more interactables, etc.

Overall though, quite a nice and clean-looking short horror game!

What an awesome example of horror game pacing! Not only were the scares super well distributed with some jump and some just thought-provoking, but the environment building and use of audio was top-notch!

The only minor suggestion I would have is to add a few more interactions in the various environments to add a bit more world-building. Not necessary, but could be more engaging!

Would absolutely love to see a Chapter 2!

I will be live in 10 minutes at 5:00pm CST playing your game, as well as two others!

(Since this is a livestream, I can't say anything about the game yet, but I will send another comment about it after the stream is over!)

Looking forward to playing your creation!

It wasn't a Raptor, I know I know, but MAN did this game get me a couple times!

I love a game that has lights all over the place and music playing, yet still manages to put you on edge. The sound design was well-placed, and I loved how to simple but effective story played out!

The only suggestion I would have for this game would be to possibly look into the weird sensitivity/skipping I was experiencing at the beginning of the game. Could just be my PC somehow, but just thought I'd mention it!

Great job on this little horror game! :)

I appreciate it a lot thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! 😊

Love the classic psychological approach of experimentation in horror games, and this is a good example of one! The lore logs were super fun to read, and added depth to the story that otherwise was a simple top-down platformer! Simple and concise: Find the exit, and escape!

The only suggestion I would have for this game would be to possibly add some other types of movement sound effects for the creature, even if it is subtle. That might build the tension even more, and really give the sense that you do indeed need to escape!

Enjoyed the game Pip! Sorry I'm getting this to you so late, but finally, here it is! :)

Super interesting features for a co-op horror game! The very nature of having a super hindered view and relying on your partner to get through to the end is an awesome concept! The animation for the creatures was genuinely terrifying, and I loved the feel of a relatively colorless environment!

The only suggestion I would have for this game would be potentially smooth out the sound effects to make them blend more with the overall environment. I totally get having sudden effects for jumpscare reasons, but I think fading in and/or out of certain effects would add to the quality a whole ton!

Enjoyed the project a lot and glad to see a second one! :)

Glad you enjoyed it! :)

And for sure noted! :D

This game is by far my favorite Christmas-themed game I've ever experienced! The writing is absolutely phenomenal and super engaging, the simple visual effects and immersive audio effects and music were spot on, and the design, being inspired by Earthbound and Undertale, was quite near flawless!

Now here is the part of the comment where I normally give one suggestion for the game, but in all honesty, I can't think of anything I would change!

Fantastically fun little game! Well done!

(This video is only Part 1, so feel free to let me know if you'd like me to post the further parts as replies to this comment or how exactly you would like me to go about that!)

So sorry for the super late comment, but very much enjoyed this game!

The sound effects were very well placed and chilling, and the environment, while simple, was super well organized and never needlessly complex! And oh man those things in the cell... Really had me spooked!

The only suggestion I would have for this game would be to potentially have a few more interactable items or events? Not really specific on anything, but more just a thought!

Enjoyed the game and had a blast! :)

So sorry for the super late comment, but loved this unique and interesting little game!

Without any music and only the ocean sound, the mood is immediately set and I can immediately feel the isolation portion! Some of those changes were down right nuts, and I loved it! Really made me feel like "This is what will happen in isolation. You'll go crazy"!

The only suggestion I would have for this game is that I do with there would be a bit more ways to interact with the character. While I know that seems to be never intended, I still think it might help, and add some interest in finding different endings!

Really liked it and hope you the best! :)

I
I'm sorry I'm so late with this comment, but what an adorable, crispy little game!

The unusual soundtrack and off-putting sound effects really gives a ton of unease as you enter this strange world! And while the art style is simple, it also gives a very trippy feel, which I love!

The only suggestion I would have for this game is to possibly add some more sound effects that would come about at certain points in the test/forest etc., or at random points as well. Might add a bit more depth to the game overall!

Really enjoyed the game and hope this helps! :)

So sorry this comment is so late, but I enjoyed this game a whole ton!

The atmosphere, even in broad daylight, based around the files you find, the hidden items, etc., really adds to the overall feel! I love when games can give you a sense of urgency, yet still make you feel not trapped when unable to move!

The only suggestion I would have for this game would be to maybe give some alternative motion to the creature and maybe some sound effects for the killing or ending? Just a thought!

Great game though well done! :)

So sorry that I'm so late with this comment, but I just wanted to say... Had an absolute blast playing this beautiful little horror game!

The visuals were absolutely insane and I loved them to death! The atmosphere and sounds really contributed to the overall bone-chilling feel, and man oh man was I regretting it (but in a good way lol). And not to mention the lighting... THE LIGHTING!!! So pretty and well made!

The only suggestion I would have for this game would be to possibly give the mannequin's some sound effects for their motion/kill animation, even if it's super subtle. Might give a bit more of a fear factor to them moving! :)

Either way, loved the game to death! Great work! :)

Not a problem! Glad I could help! 👍

What a fun little experience! The music and atmosphere of the beginning town area reminded me a lot of the Dark Souls II Majula theme, and I loved that to death! The visuals were quite nice, the controls were pretty solid, and the mission was simple and easy to follow: Talk to the "prisoners", find the maze, leave the maze.

The only suggestion I would have for this game would be to possibly add more frequent sound effects: sword slashing enemies, enemy noises, battle music during a fight, damage sound effects, etc. Might make the gameplay much more immersive and the world more believable!

Great work! :)

What a nostalgia trip!

This game really brought me back to my old miniclip days in junior high and high school! Simple level design, character design, objective, etc., but smooth and effective controls, along with fun sound effects and animation makes this a nice little 2D level-based shooter!

The only suggestion I would have would be to potentially add some form of weapon or ability that could mess with the level design in some way! I think that could be pretty interesting, if implemented in the right way! More of an idea than a suggestion, but still! Enjoyed the game overall, and very thankful for the opportunity to play it! :)

Ah perfect that's cool to hear! Glad I could be of some use! 👍

What a fun, simple little experience! The atmosphere was slightly off-putting, which was perfect for this type of game, and the objective was clear and precise!

The only suggestion I would have would be to possibly ramp up the workers speed as more keys were found, or even simply ramp up the feel with some music or sound effects as more keys were found, similar to how Slenderman was done! Great work overall though! :)

Really glad you enjoyed it! Definitely a fun, little experience for sure! :)

What a cozy, little experience! Loved the atmospheric music and overall sound to the game! Simple and clean, yet somehow very heartfelt!

The only suggestion I would have would be to somehow incorporate some visuals when the light is off. Now, I have absolutely no idea how one would go about something like that without revealing too much of the given platform, but just a thought that went in my mind while playing! :)

Really enjoyed this game! The quality was off the charts, the sound was excellent, and the visuals were top-notch! Easy to follow, but still lured you in! Well done Max Horror!

One small suggestion would be I don't believe the timed horror sound effects were all that necessary, or rather, they weren't all that necessary to run throughout the entire gameplay. Just a suggestion though! :)

I was not, but yeah, I think subtitles and a volume setting would be excellent! I'll be sure to check out your other projects as well! :)

I feel like this game could definitely use a bit more sound effect work, as well as some volume issues, such as the guy on the radio being too quiet, while the attack mode music was too loud, but overall, a fun little horror experience! (I'm also terrible at these games, so excuse my poor critiques)
