Nice game Victorex! I liked it overall, and especially the key change in the music when enemies were near. Unfortunately I didn't get to beat it because the screen would randomly go dark after playing a bit.
I really liked the art, the music, and the writing—very immersive.
The typewriter effect ruined the immersion, though. :/ I read much faster than the words appeared, so I was forced to sit and wait a lot. Also, staring at all the moving letters for so long made me feel a little dizzy. In the end, I got frustrated and stopped. The effect would be ok on a few special passages, but using it in every one was too much.
I know this is a prototype, so I hope you take this as useful feedback—I'm not trying to be mean. If you end up removing that effect please reply and I will gladly give the game another try because I really did like all the other elements! :)
Thank you, Lucky! I had to put it on hold for a different project that I can't really discuss here, but I think Small Dead's Game will be done around March 2025.
