At the moment the monster art is made in pixel-art and the backgrounds are painted. Both bought on the itch.io store. 

If you would join me on this project we can change the art to fit your style, also we could grow the project together by combining visions. 

The game is a Roguelite monster collecting peggle-like game with destructible environments. Each monster has unique move sets and starting perks what gives them a unique feel. Every monster also has a different starting ball count, and a different amount of bounces each ball can make before it is destroyed (which can be upgraded during the run).

This gameplay loop is viable to change, I would love to brainstorm to see what path the game can take.

PegMon is a unique fusion of monster collecting and Peggle-inspired gameplay within a roguelite framework. Capture and evolve your monsters, master the physics-based combat, and navigate procedurally generated worlds as you strive to complete increasingly challenging runs. With endless possibilities and combinations to explore, PegMon promises a fresh, fun, and addictive adventure with every playthrough.

Gameplay Mechanics:

  • Peggle-Inspired Combat: Engage in thrilling battles where the classic Peggle mechanics are reimagined for monster combat. Each battle unfolds on a dynamic board filled with pegs, obstacles, and destructible terrain. Launch your monsters like pinballs to hit pegs that unleash powerful attacks, create combos, or activate strategic buffs. 
  • Bounce Management: Each monster's ball is destroyed after a certain number of bounces, which varies by species. Evolving your monsters, purchasing items in the shop, and collecting perks can all increase the bounce count, allowing for more extended and powerful plays. Managing bounce limits is key to maintaining your team’s effectiveness in battle.
  • Destructible Terrain: The battlefield in PegMon is more than just a static backdrop—it's an active participant in the fight. Terrain can be shattered. Attacks and monster abilities can alter the landscape of the board, adding a layer of tactical depth to each encounter.
  • Monster Collecting & Evolution: Capture a diverse array of PegMons, each with unique abilities, and perks. As you progress, your captured monsters can evolve, gaining new forms, enhanced stats, and powerful abilities. 
  • Learn New Attacks: As your PegMons level and evolve, they unlock an expanding arsenal of attacks. These attacks interact with both pegs and destructible terrain, allowing for creative and varied playstyles. From direct damage to terrain-altering moves, each attack can be strategically chosen to maximize your impact on the battlefield.
  • Collect Perks: Throughout your runs, discover and collect a wide range of perks that enhance your monsters' abilities or modify the game’s rules in your favor. Perks can include increasing shot count, adding elemental effects to your attacks, changing projectile size, and many more effects, providing powerful tools to overcome the challenges you face.
