Thanks!  While I chose and settled on Lakka, it was the first thing I tried and it worked. It may not be the best option necessarily but you know, as the saying goes  "if it's not broken, don't fix it" :) I might try getting my next game running on the Arcade1Up at some point, and I feel like it should be pretty easy. Famous last words!

Wishing you great success with your game dev ventures!

Thanks for making me aware of Picade :) I also have run my games on Steamdeck (but not published to Steam), just ran in Desktop mode. I also have a Mortal Combat Arcade1Up machine that I've converted to use a RaspberryPi for retro gaming, using Lakka (running on Buster, the predecessor to Bullseye) and I've often thought of running my games on that machine, all of the info here will be very helpful when/if I finally do it! Your progress here with Unicopia is very interesting, and I love that you've got your own game marquee on the Picade :) Brilliant!

Excellent game, very enjoyable!

Deadly Shadows

Introducing Deadly Shadows, my second Itch game!

Deadly Shadows is a short, tense, atmospheric horror survival game.

Can you escape with your soul intact, or will you go insane and perish in the darkness?

Don't let your lamp run out of fuel before finding your way out.

Drink Wormwood to calm your nerves.

https://rokoddity.itch.io/mission-failed

Introducing "Mission Failed". A single-player and local co-op 2D shooter for Windows & Linux.

This first release is a Pre-Alpha demo of the game. It features many of the core game-play elements planned for the final game, including stealth, gun-play and crafting and co-op.

Background

You are on a Special Ops mission to rescue prisoners of war. Everything goes wrong. With your mission failed you are cut off from all support and stranded behind enemy lines.

Low on resources and short on time, you need to find a way to regain communications, battle through to safety and complete your mission objectives along the way.

Please give it a try and give me your (constructive) feedback. Your support is greatly appreciated :)

My aim has been to make this game challenging, especially if you want to 100% all aspects of a level. So playing "loud" at all times is risky, dangerous and resource intensive. Sometimes it pays to go slow.

Please let us know if you think the demo gameplay is...

A) Too Easy

B) Just Right

C) Too Hard

All (constructive) feedback welcome!
