Some of the most fun I've had with a TTRPG :) The mechanics are light but the prompts are so story-rich it was very easy to get going and become excited about the story!! Can't wait to play again- feels like living a romance novel. A chaotic one

Quick Q, are there supposed to be more sets than the one I am seeing? The rules sounds like there should be others, but there is just the mentor set, at least from what I can find while reading through everything

i love you for creating this <3 thanks for enabling my gay-ass pirate dreams

Super duper excited to jump into this! The art is already blowing me away, and it's easy to see the improvements in formatting/flow from the playtest version. The confidants, especially, are so cool???

Quick question, any word on the 'Magical Sandwich' stretch goal content? I don't see it on the 'things to come' list above but if it's in the main game text, I totally missed it!

Apothecaria is everythinggggg I've introduced multiple friends to the game so we can play it together. I think I've been tricked into writing a short story and honestly I'm having a great time.  The discord community is also active and thriving if you have questions or just want to meet other witch characters across dimensions :)

I'd also recommend checking out:

1. Patchwork Potions by bespoketacle (a series of prompts inspired by this game to flesh out your village and relationships, perfect to whip out during downtime sessions)

2. Village Witch and Build A Witch by Kestrel Eliot (Build a Witch is amazing for creating magical characters, and includes some sample witches to fuel your imagination or populate the world; Village Witch has some great prompts to give any witch a 'problem of the week', especially the Major Arcana prompts)

3. The oracles from Iron Valley by M. Kirin (I use them constantly. You can roll for everything from villager aesthetics and gender to the weather. The base game is pay-what-you-want here on itch.io, and the oracles can be rolled online on Chartopia.)

This game also has plenty of fun expansions, which you can find on itch.io or on Anna Blackwell's Patreon.

Iron Valley is so cute, so colorful, so trans rights, so anti-capitalist. It's truly the chill, relaxing, full of love game we all need sometimes. It's super duper that it's name your own price, accessibility rules! That said, I did pay real money for this, and I use the oracles all the time for everything and every game.

This solo ttrpg is so peaceful and calming, and I just adore the tarot-themed prompts. I highly recommend getting the entire bundle! I use the Build-A-Witch expansion literally every time I want to make any kind of magical character, and the sample witches included? It's free real estate! It's free NPCs!

The art is beautiful and the design of the book really hits that 90's teen whimsy vibe for me. The tone is playful and fun, and when I showed the PDF to my friend their first comment was "wow so readable" so that's a win in my world :)

I've been playing this alongside Apothecaria and it's already spawned some of my favorite character moments :) I really like the method of generating prompts and it keeps me writing even in a slump. The cover art is beautiful, so I hope this gets a full-color expansion some day! <3

you go clash! you gettem!!

this is so cute and funny! nice going :)

this is really cool! the usage of B+W is striking, as well as the way it d/evolves from an instructional text to something more satirical and worrying. nice going :)

this is moving, and complex- conformity and freedom, wage slavery and independence, escape and gentrification. the past is like a ticking time bomb, even the imagined past. thanks for sharing this :)

i really enjoyed this, especially with the corporate music- it's a non-obvious way to meet the 'burn after reading' prompt. exhausted is elegant! overwhelmed is overjoyed! i don't want to go to work tomorrow! c'est la vie. nice job :)

this is great! i feel like i know so much more about crabs now. they do indeed make bad cake. nice going :)

I really enjoyed this zine :) somehow, I now understand "buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo"? buffalobuffalobuffalobuffalobuffalo.....

i'm crying. I feel loved and cherished by this game. thank you <3
