NEWS! Tldr, I'm working on a new story with a smaller scope because, if I'm being completely honest, Run Cried the Crawling is a big bite for me to chew right now. It's my first attempt at IF and really my first piece of writing ever shared (online or otherwise.)

I want to make it clear that it is not abandoned!! But it will be put on pause while I work on Tether, and gain the skills and confidence I desperately need to finish this project. 

If you're interested in Tether, it will be up on my page very shortly. I hope to make updates a bit more regular with it, something semi-scheduled.

Thank you everyone for the love you've shown this story. It means the world to have people delve into the depths of the Thicket with me.

It's inspired by a song by Agnes Obel called "Run Cried the Crawling." It feels mildly non-sensical and it started off as just a place holder name for the story, but I grew too attached to it.

Unfortunately I messed around with the code too much in between updates and had to use and old file of the game to recover it, which is probably why all the old saves are gone. Definitely a learning experience for me and will try to not do it again :0

it's fixed now! but the demo ends in the next passage anyways so there's not much to see

hehe it should be fixed now. that is the end of the demo anyways as i haven't written much after that passage

It should hopefully be fixed now! If it isn't, I would recommend playing on browser or rotating your phone horizontally until I figure out how to work this code 😭
