Thanks for the feedback! :) The controls were on purpose; I wanted the game to feel like you were riding a horse. I didn't want perfectly precise movement as I think it would harm the difficulty of the game, but in hindsight it should've been tighter controls overall.

The map was also finalized as a last-minute thing so there wasn't much time to see if it was too large or too small. I also think it was too large but too late to change, unfortunately.

Updated! You can now switch the control scheme in the options menu :) and thank you for the kind comments!!

Thank you for the kind words :) and yes, you have to learn to be careful. Given more time I would've fine-tuned collisions, they can be really tough to get right. I'm happy you enjoyed the game!

Sorry about that! If it's running slow, you could try downloading the desktop version. I also just now made the jump hitbox much wider, so it should be easier to jump. Let me know if you come back to it :)

Thank you for the comments! I just released an update that addressed two of your concerns. I made the jump hitbox much wider and there's now an option to skip the opening cutscene.

For the frog, you can get hops of any size you like by holding down W to do a small jump. But I do recognize it's difficult to get in position either way, so I'll be open to more feedback about that. Thanks again :)

Hi y'all! I'm thinking of making an entry inspired by Yoshi's Island. I'm a fairly adequate coder and I thought I should reach out here before I start in case anyone wants to collaborate. I code in Java using the libGDX engine, and you can see a couple of my libGDX jam entries on my profile. If you want to collaborate, you can reach me on discord at ryshaw#9477 and we can share ideas :)

Thanks, have a good one!

Fun idea and nice execution! It was really challenging, right until I unlocked the double jump!

I really like the concept, but the slow turning speed of the robot made it difficult to aim at the tiny robots. The mining was good, and I did have to keep moving around because enemies would spawn near me!

Simple yet brilliant concept! The feel of the game was great, I really liked the "floaty" movement. The graphics are slick and the music gave me a sense of urgency. The end of the game is perfectly executed :) overall impressive!

Thank you!! :) yeah I had to scramble my assets together at the last second lmao!

That's great! I tried to make a nice difficulty curve and I think it worked out!

Thanks!!

I love the art style and the animations!

This is one of those games where I keep coming back to it even though I get frustrated! It's addicting and challenging. Thank you for this great game!

I really like the gloomy background music. I just barely was able to beat the game, but also I went straight for the goal, so I didn't explore the map that much. If there's more dev time, I would've liked to see a story, like you have to go to certain spots to pick up lost pages of a diary or something.

The graphics are fantastic! But I had a tough time understanding what to do and what the goal was. I didn't know how to make the instructions go away (turns out it was pressing Esc). I would've loved a tutorial for this game! Also, a Player vs. Bot mode would be great!
