Hello, my new indie horror game Fishing for a God has just been released! Fish, sell, buy, and eventually "release him". This short pixel art game utilises the same art style as my previous success, Don't watch the moon. Can you catch enough fish to buy out the shop and release him while avoiding the tree huggers? You can certainly try your best!

I come to you, reader, with a warning born of terror and despair. Deep in the heart of a forsaken lake, where the waters run dark and still, lies a twisted game of fate and peril. A fisherman's tale, once filled with dreams of bountiful catch, turned sinister by the unknown.
Catch fish and journey to the enigmatic market, hidden far to the west, shrouded in darkness and secrecy. There, an unworldly buyer awaits, inscrutable and foreboding. Be wary, for the coins that burst forth in the market's belly are no mere trinkets but carry a haunting aura of evil.
Yet, as you brave this treacherous path, beware the malevolence that lurks unseen. For in the shadows of ancient trees, treehuggers skulk, eager to snatch your hard-earned catch and curse you with a darkness that spreads through your very being. My skin, once tanned by the sun, now turns black like theirs, a mark of doom that lingers. We are them.
I implore you, weary traveler, to wield caution and wit, for the lake's dark secrets have claimed countless fishermen before you. Their dreams of riches and glory swallowed whole by the lake's insatiable hunger. Tread lightly, for it thirsts for more souls to claim, entangling its victims in an eternal struggle.
Your journey's end beckons in the shop beyond, far to the east. Procure the enigmatic items it holds, and only then may you dare to hope for liberation - to "release him." But I beg you, heed my warning and break the cycle of this wicked game. Turn back, return to the safety of your home shores, and forsake the haunting allure of this macabre endeavor. Your life, your soul, they are precious, and this game is nothing but a cruel, treacherous ruse.
hi there, thank you so much for playing! Admittedly, yes, the writing is not perfect and the endings are both quite similar which may make one seem underwhelming. This is my first real game project and, although I did try to create an effective story, I was much more focused on the art- which hopefully explains the lacking writing for anyone who noticed. I really appreciate the feedback and will look through the spelling to try to fix any mistakes! Again, really thank you for playing and taking the time to comment it means a lot to have something I worked so hard on appreciated!

This is a small indie horror game with pixel art and simple inputs I've been working on for quite some time. You play as a boy named Eli who mysteriously wakes up in a forest and tries to find his way back home. But something weird is happening in the moonlight within the forest...
Please give it a try and let me know what you think :)

This is the second release of a short horror/adventure game I am working on! It is played within your browser and is free. You play as a boy named Eli trying to escape a strange forest, finding some friendly (and some unfriendly) creatures along the way. But something strange seems to be happening with the moon ... can you escape and discover the mysteries of the forest?
DragonExplosion, your comment on this project means a lot to me. This is the first small scene of the game I am planning to make- and you taking the time to make a video on it is a huge moral boost to finish it! I am re-uploading a version now that will tell the user they completed the scene as to avoid confusion, and I really appreciate the rest of your comments. If you have any notes on what could make these scene better, please let me know!
Again, thank you very much for this it means more than you could understand. You earned yourself a subscriber!
