good idea!

Thanks! I guess the second level is a bit large without a map, I will definitely consider adding one if I continue working on the game or a similar one.

  • The combat feels really great, very juicy. The 2D Zelda games were never very good at that.
  • Good enemy design.
  • I liked the pick-up mechanic and the ideas in the cloud area.
  • I didn't talk to any NPCs after the first one because of the unskippable slow dialogue text.
  • I'm not a big fan of rotating pixels and inconsistent pixel sizes. But I guess it's common practice nowadays and most people don't even notice. (Edit: I have to add that I really like the art style otherwise!)

Overall very promising :)

I really like the art style and music, it all fits together very well! I wasn't sure what to do when I ran out of stamina. The regen rate on the bench seems to be very slow. Maybe it should be increased (a lot), or maybe there is another way to get stamina that I missed :)

Did you make it for a jam? The hammer with its huge recoil definitely has potential. The hitbox is large enough so it's not too frustrating. Sound would be nice :)
