Congrats on finishing your first solo project! It's so coooooool!

I think going as far as to tag AI generated code is a bit odd. If there is one thing I can say has actually been great with the advent of AI, it's having a way to quickly debug code by sending it to ChatGPT. Even experienced programmers use it, it's just a handy tool. There's no malicious intent at all there.

Hi. So I've been cooking up this concept demo for a First-Person Platformer since April this year, and it's now finally done! It was originally part of an "Egg Jam," hence all the egg theming lol.

But yeah so it's an experimental First-Person Platformer, where you have a moveset more akin to a traditional 3D platformer. (The easiest elevator pitch is essentially "First-Person Mario 64.")

There's a large main level, 3 hidden sublevels which are more linear/challenging, and a bunch of goofy characters to meet. I'm really happy with how it turned out, and I hope you enjoy it if you give it a look.

Here's the trailer if you'd like to see some gameplay footage.

You can grab the game here!

Woooo! I love these! Can't wait for this one.

Very nice relaxing little fishing game. However there was more than 4 fish, the book lies. :P

Unfortunately I just don't have a Mac computer to test on. I could try making a build for Mac with the default settings, but it would likely have a fair number of bugs.

Nah that scene is just meant as a cool secret. The intent behind it is to make you want to get out as soon as possible lol. So there's no reason to stick around in there.

And thanks! I do actually have something new in the works, and it should hopefully be ready within the next couple months. I've always been working on projects, but most stuff never got past the prototype phase. This next thing though is well past that point, so I'm sure it'll be finished.

So glad you enjoyed it! It's honestly crazy to me that there's still a pretty steady number of new players, even this many years later. I feel like I got very lucky with the timing on the ending, cause I've seen so many people juuuust barely not close the game before it happens lol.

Anyway, sorry but I don't have any sort of map or design doc that shows what scenes connect to which other scenes. But there are technically 30 scenes in total. (The ending is like 4 of those, and the intro is 3.) So that leaves 23 other scenes to find in the main portion of the game. In most playthroughs I've seen online, people usually see every scene, or miss just 1 or 2 of them, so there's a good chance you saw everything.

I do still have the Trello board I used to organize the game's development, and that has a list of all the scenes. It probably wouldn't be helpful though, because the notes there were only for myself, and thus look sort of vague and reference other internal projects at the time. I'm not opposed to sending you an image of the list, but it probably wouldn't really help lol. The most helpful info I can really give is just that there's 23 scenes in the main portion of the game.

This is a great cute little experience, I really enjoyed it. Also the visuals are just super pretty. Very clever use of the prompt as well, great job!

It will soon be Gamer Time(tm)

So something odd about that one, I actually can't find it anymore either. I think the guy removed everything from his Bandcamp cause his profile is just totally blank now. Here's a link to it if you wanna see for yourself. The song used in the Blue Orb Shrine is from him, titled "When You're Here". It had some vocal bits between the transition from the starting water temple part, and when it gets more vaporwavey, so I edited those out for the in-game version.

I also checked his Youtube channel but the song isn't there either.

Thanks! In regards to the 3 songs used for those scenes, here's the sources on those.

The first 2 are original compositions done by a friend of mine. They were originally for another project we were working on together, but had to shelf because Construct 3 sucked lol. I'd love to pick that game back up as a Unity project someday though.

Hallway Scene - Investigation

Bar Scene - Box Dasher

Marketplace Scene - Map Shop Twisted (This one is from MC Story Mode Season 2. Which has a pretty incredible soundtrack overall imo. Very underrated.)

The songs used are from multiple sources. It's all listed in the game's end credits. (I meant to include a ReadMe file as well, but completely forgot when it came time to release the game)

Most of the music is from Anodyne 2 though. So what you're looking for is probably part of that game's soundtrack. But are there any songs in particular you're looking for? I could find 'em for you.

You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it! (Also thank you too, lol)

The final line is beautiful. 10/10 dude that was a really wonderful little experience.

gamer time baybeeeeeeeeeee

Aww, thanks! It's nice to see people are still enjoying this even after a year now.

Really great for a first game. I like your art style a lot, it's really cute and charming. Also good sound design and music choice.

The main mechanic's a fun little thing, and I think the level design is really solid. Overall 10 minutes well spent.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks! And thanks for doing a scene for it as well. The watercolor style you used is really pretty

This is easily your best work so far. Super excited to see how it develops!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. That was one of my favorite scenes too.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks! Yeah I'm planning on adding those QoL features to the dialogue system for future projects. Once I've gotten around to that I'll probably add it back into this with a small update. Really glad you enjoyed it!

:)

Thanks for making their sprites, they look great!

Thanks!

Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the music choices.

I'm extremely excited to finally have released my first project! It's a surreal story-driven first-person exploration game. And heavily inspired by LSD Dream Emulator, 21: The World, and Quantum Eternity. It's available to download for free, and takes about 40-50 minutes to play through.

Here's a link to the store page:
