I've been following and enjoying this VN for over a year, but damn, I didn't like this update for one simple reason...

The whole romance between Zander and Redline is so forced, it hurts. I actually think that Red is a great character, with some solid character development and background and I really like our hyena as a friend you know, but there is just no romantic chemistry between him and the protagonist... And that's why I was glad to see that he was only an optional romance in the previous round. However...
The fact that there was a choice earlier where you can pick "Purely friendship, nothing more" about your relationship with Red, yet still Zander will sleep in the same bed as Redline in the next chapter and think about how badly he wants to kiss him, like... And then there's the scene at the "fake" beach, where Zander wants to "tell him that he loves him". At the end of the chapter, no matter what you have said before, Zander still will be in love with him, so what was even the point of giving us the "choice" before... This romance is SO painfully forced, it makes me like Red and the VN overall less, which is a shame, because I really really enjoyed previous updates :/
