I think having a playlist feed from xbvr still works better. If I’m using the web feed, then I can’t delete the actual files and marking things as favorite or setting stars doesn’t update the source metadata on xbvr. If I use smb, which will probably let me delete, there is no metadata. So I think it just makes more sense to manage playlists in xbvr.

The developer doesn't seem too interested in this, so I'll just throw out that I'm using a video player called Pigasus to read comics on my Quest 2. It allows you to directly open CBR/CBZ files from the device or SMB file shares and essentially view them as a slide show. It's not as nice of a UI as Supermedium, but it actually works with no special setup. Oh yeah and it plays videos too :-)
Same issue here. I just got my Quest 2 and this sounded like a great idea. The demo lets me view the included comics fine, but I can't get my own transferred to my device. I've tried a lot of different things. Nothing shows up over wifi while I have the desktop app running. If I tag items for USB transfer, it never sees the Quest 2 as connected. I've tried with developer mode on and off. I would consider a purchase if this gets fixed.
