My honest review:
The story is decent, not too perfect but it's at least above average.
My gameplay was roughly about 6 hours, but it could be more than that if you read every line, I'd say about 10 hours if you did.
What I dislike about this is that you don't have any freedom of choosing who you would be with. I tried everything just to be with Noriko at my first playthrough but I couldn't and ended in a bug where you can't progress after going through the befriend route of Asami (After sleeping with her). Everything has a laid down path. The choices that could affect your playthrough only happens at the start of the game, as far as I noticed, and would go through a linear plotline. Not that I'm complaining. It's really hard to make a separate 7 hour playthrough just because you made a different choice. Also 0.8.1 has a possibility of NTR at the ending of the update.
Personally, I don't like how the large breasts look a bit off or saggy on the sprites but then again, I'm here for Noriko's.
Art is great, and its worth every bucks. Looking forward to the next update.
The game is visually amazing. It really hit me with that classic JRPG vibes!
The gameplay is unique and fun. The use of sentries such as the paints to buff you, and different storyline for the characters is creative! The character's kit is beautifully done!
The attention to details is noteworthy. I always love how your every action affects your character; from the tattered clothes to nude. Additionally, what your character holds shows on your status screen too! Furthermore, I love the physics of the projectiles bouncing and still damaging others other than the initial hit!
The erotic aspects is decent. Not a fan of 300% jiggle physics but the CG is well made; not too exaggerated and the style is unique in itself! I personally love the artstyle!
The game lacks instructions to progress. Maybe this game is not just for me, but there are no instructions on where to go, or any hints to progress the story; you'll have to use someone's walkthrough just to progress. It leaves out the fun of initiatively discovering everything behind crooks and crannies while fully knowing where you'll have to go.
The game lacks instruction for game mechanics. I may have missed it but it lacks instruction to various features such as combining, spraying, and shooting fire out of the spray.
The game is unfairly difficult. I may be a casual gamer but I did a lot of JRPG. It would usually take me 3 - 4 hours to even defeat a single hard enemy, but I even know I just need to get good at it, but it's different here. Doing many things inside the boss room while the room is cramped is not fun; you'll have to dodge, attack, heal, and turn on the fire for SP simultaneously. All while you maintain your SP because most of your moves require them. Especially when the time to escape being caught is too little that it requires SP, or great reaction time that you start spamming once you've been caught. Being caught is instant death, having it only on a few duration of time from being caught is irritatingly difficult.
The controls is a bit wanky. Not that big but the controls are a bit off. Would be great if there's a way to change the bounded keys.
The lore is unfindable. Lore wise... No clue on it. Why or how something happens, the goal, I didn't find anything that speaks about lore.
I'll rate it 3/10. The game is unfairly difficult, both in progression and combat, enough to drag everything down, considering that the gameplay, the art, and others are amazing. And you might have noticed but, I only played Nyx. Sasha's route and the lack of SP recovery is just too much for me to handle, and I got stuck at the giant boss. I suggest having a difficulty level: From easy to hard, it prolongs the time being caught, lowers both damage and hp, increases durability of equipment, dumber AI, and decreases spawn rate for harder mobs.
