sounds like a skill issue

Congrats on the release! I've enjoyed watching the dev process, love the level design of only showing controls after a platforming challenge :)

Word of advice: the wall jump only works on the arrow keys but you can move using WASD - was slightly confusing at first but managed to figure it out after a minute or two

great concept - incredibly frustrating but in a good way!

Thanks for the comment :) hopefully next time the execution will be just as good

I have been playing this game for maybe 3 hours now.

10/10 I hate water tears

git gud scrub

This is the best kind of game jam game: a really simple idea polished to a really high standard.

Loved playing it - with some upgrades perhaps and more map variety/enemy variety I genuinely think you could make this into a full game.

Congrats :)

Appreciate it haha thanks for playing the game

Thank you so much :) we don't have a cat so some random internet cats will have to do haha

Really solid level design - lots of fun to traverse the game.

Managed to finish in 200 secs, didn't get all 10 fish though so was it truly a win? haha

Enjoyed it a lot - the mechanics here were really cool, very difficult but in an enjoyable way.

Keep it up :)

You're welcome :) hopefully it's come across as being fair and not just mean haha

Enjoyable little game that fits the criteria perfectly :)

I think the audio cue for the thing being placed in the right place would help a lot, and having objects interact with one another when placed on the shelves would aid in the chaos factor - even if the physics were janky.

Considering this is your "first time making a platformer", there is an insane display of talent on display here. From the artwork to the sound design to the juice and game-feel, it's a really great snippet of enjoyment.

I think you're aware perhaps, but the gameplay I think can get fairly stale fairly quickly - considering how much love and attention went in to every other aspect of the package, I think it's completely understandable. Maybe if the game wasn't time based but rather you have to chase the rat after you find him that might have been better?

Don't take this nit-picking as criticism, however - you've done an amazing job and should be proud of it :)

The style is absolutely incredible - it's very clear a lot of time and effort went in to making something that feels very cute and homely and you achieve that flawlessly.

I struggled a bit with the gameplay - the left mouse button would not work for me no matter how hard I try, which is a shame. And I also didn't get to see your amazing intro as it wouldn't play for me!

That being said, really solid submission - loved it :)

Wish I could put the death sound in to accompany it... but, as they say, "you don't have the right, o, you don't have the right"

Considering you hade significantly shorter a time compared to others, it's really impressive what you manage to achieve - that's not to put this down, it's impressive even if you had the full amount of time, so to do it in less you should be proud.

To give some light criticism, I think separating controls from keyboard to mouse hurt the playability alot - if the controls were all mapped to the keyboard (or mouse), you'd have a lot easier time switching without. That, and the inability to rotate the camera hurts the game a bit I think (apologies if I'm just stupid and missed how haha), it's difficult to see where the towers and and stuff.

That being said - that's just nit-picking for an otherwise really well-designed and enjoyable game :)

Thanks :) missed the chance to say "purrsonal" but I'll let it slide... haha

Thank you :) wanted to do something that's been done before but with a slight twist.

Looking forward to checking out your game in a bit - thanks for the feedback!

Hey, thanks so much - took me a bit longer than I'd like to admit getting it right but it was well worth it haha

really great for a first game - love the concept :)

Well, I went into it thinking "this will be fun" and coming out of it thinking "oh no, how do I do this". Lots of fun though, converting the classic tunes to 8-bit(ish) and making the sounds was fun too, crazy is the right word haha

I'm glad you like the palette. By no means an artist so glad to hear someone enjoyed it. Thanks for your time :)

Hey, thanks so much for checking this out and giving the feedback :)

Unfortunately was limited by the engine for the triple digits, but it's 100% something I'd love to fix going forward. Glad you enjoyed it though
