I can agree that the current movement system isn't very responsive right now. I took a risk, and decided that I was going to make all movement controlled entirely by the animations. Basically, not one line of code actually moves the characters. The animations take full control. The upside is that stuff should "look" more fluid transitioning between animations, and movement. The downside is that movement accuracy takes a downfall. Hopefully I can eventually get around to polishing transition speeds and the like to reduce the feeling floatiness.
For the UI, My entire thought process has been "How do I cram an endless amount of potential sex positions into a free roaming concept". Eventually the goal is that this will be an online experience, and being able to swap between characters is mainly an offline feature for testing.
I can certainly see certain elements of this project becoming a learning curve as a result though. One exposed position could potentially have tons of unique penetration and oral options to choose from. Different scenery might allow for completely different exposed positions. I've also had to try and incorporate controller support too (because vibrations XD).
I ended up splitting things up into Exposed positions, Penetration actions, and Oral actions that populate themselves based on context with scenery, and what position a partner is in. Not being able to exit a selection is certainly an oversight on my part though, and I've now added it as an option for future builds of the game.
Hoping to cram in the gist of what I'm looking to accomplish features wise, and then start polishing that up once the feature set is complete. Right now I'm currently working on a First Person view and the ability to control a characters hands while in that mode to "touch certain body parts".
Hopefully this can eventually become the simulation people want it to be!
