Thank you so much for the lovely comments Sutch! I'm really glad you're enjoying the series. There will be more to come in 2025, so I'm looking forward to sharing those updates with you then ❤️✨

Hello! Sorry it is so late, but I did add a new entry! https://seraten04.itch.io/pursuers-of-mythic-truth there will be 3 more titles next year too 👀
Hi BrokenEnd, thanks for playing 'Inside the box', there's good news! This whole series of games (bar a couple) focuses on the Crooked Man! One half focus on his history, the other half focus on the apprentice trying to find him). I would reccomend you find the 'Chaos Prince' in 'Only when you sleep' - you might someone very interesting 👀
Also, if you want to continue the apprentice's story of finding him, 'the Pursuers of Mythic truth' might work for you ✨
Thanks so muchhhhh :D It was nice to see your comment on this game also, so thank you so much!
Jack and Jill have had their proper mad-cap debut in the series, in Purusers of Mythic truth...I hope you enjoy those crazy kids and their shenanigans.
Crooked is hiding in one of the currently released games and his story will unravel even more in 2025! More coming soon :D
Thanks again for commenting. Makes me super happy to see comments like this
Hey AshersBraincell! Thank you so much for taking the time to review! I really appreciate the feedback, always makes me smile! :)
I know what you mean about ending 2 - I hope that one day I make a nice game about a typical day in Crooked's sweatshop rather than 'I threw the sweets in the bin lol'
I was thinking of revisiting this game, but as you say, the jam limitations made it a bit challenging :) I hope you enjoy the rest of the series <3 (There's plenty more to go at and more to come :D)
Thanks again :)
Thank you so much Sparrow! Really enjoyed your playthrough. I strongly feel that the creature would prepare M&Ms... I can't really explain why, it's just a vibe I get 😂
I hope you enjoy the rest of the series. Don't worry you will definitely be seeing Crooked feature in the story, and you will be playing as his apprentice in the future.
If you're looking for 'creature lore'- I reccomend 'bloodlines', 'only when you sleep' and 'pursuers of mythic truth'.
For dear cru-chan, 'only when you sleep' has a particular ending (ending 6) you might want to check out.
If you want to see Jack and Jill...Pursuers of mythic truth is the way to go 😉
Happy gaming and thanks again. May your pillows be fluffed and tea be warm in the Neverplace 😂
Hi Chatter, I thought I'd share my thoughts. I do really like the Live2D element, but when reading your thoughts and the reasons (e.g. Helping more people access them in more platforms and make the production process smoother) I can understand why you'd want to make that choice. Also your art and storytelling are fantastic with and without the animations. I think you should do what you feel is best for you and your players. Personally, I'll enjoy the games either way. 🫶
Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to review. I really appreciate it! I had a cg with the grim planned for the end of game, but when I reviewed the rules, I noticed a cg wasn't allowed if sprites and backgrounds were used-but I am glad you had your own picture in your mind regardless 😁
Also, credit to Steph, the VA - she did a fantastic job ❤️
Thanks so much Chatter, I really appreciated the feedback!
Steph is absolutely fantastic, she has such an incredible range, it was wonderful to work with her on this project!
Harumachi's music is also fabulous! I love how expressive the tracks are.
I wanted to try something different this time, no imminent danger, no intimidating/quirky men. I wanted to focus on a gentle heart-felt story, taking place in an old Abbey - a beautiful and melancholic place. It was a place I visited and I just knew I had to create a novel that was set there!
I also wanted Alice to be really respectful of how different people live their lives, on this occasion, how they process grief and loss. She isn't pushy and she doesn't demand. She is comfortable and secure, happy with who she is and that others are shaped by their experiences, she doesn't want to 'fix' them, she wants to provide...Sanctuary. I think that gentle patient support - close or distant is symbolic in the Folklore world, a place full of old and edgy pushy/oppressive/opinionated characters.
Alice will appear in other titles in the future, providing a ray of gentle kindness wherever she goes.
Thanks again for your wonderful review. :)
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback and playing the game!
I wanted to punch the King in the mouth as I was writing him, being mean to Sean, Morrigan and Robert is just unacceptable. 😂
The voice actors did such an incredible job too. Ryan playing Sean AND The King And Robert is just so mind blowing to me. 🙇 Also Lauren peppered Morrigan with plenty of sass, they're incredible too 🫶
Sean, Morrigan and Robert are such a lovely found family. 🥹
Thanks again.
Waaa thank you so much. I feel like 'do you like sweets' probably feels way less intense when played second 😂
Absolutely giving credit for Manni who was a fantastic VA adding all the spoopy vibes.
I also loved how sensible your playthrough was too, I've seen so many people want to open the box - if I were in the situation, I'd have done the same as you and yeeted myself out of there!
Thanks again for bringing a smile to my day 🥹
🥹🥹🥹 Thank you so much Cryptid, I always love your playthroughs. You noticed Sean's flowers in the kitchen! that made me so happy as no one else had spotted the colours yet. I wanted them to really stand out, because it's a fantasy period piece, it was challenging to incorporate words and symbols of asexuality, the flowers felt like a fitting way to do so.
I'm so happy you enjoyed all the characters too! Well aside from Tier, as hateful and bitter as he is, you can see his paranoia and fear of things he doesn't understand, and I think this story really sets the scene for how irrationally driven he is in 'looking like a wilful King' rather than actually listening to his people.
All the Folklore stories are going to link together in the future, and I'm really looking forward to that moment. That little box is causing so much intrigue 🎁
Thanks once again - it's so lovely to read your comments and watch your playthroughs
