This was an ambitious effort given the time constraints of a game jam, which I appreciate. I felt the over-hunting and extinction aspect of the market place was the highlight of the design. Adding ways to drive players to make difficult decisions and greedy choices that have future consequences is what makes this game unique - further development should focus on amplifying this part of the experience. Having the spell costs be unique each round also makes the game re-playable, which is nice. At the same time, the spell cost and powers seemed a bit off in my play-test; mostly players ignored these abilities and focused only on selling items; rather than using them for spells.

This game is quite well done given the time constraints. Playtesting revealed a lack of player control over the outcome of the game, so it felt skewed towards luck rather than skill. With more testing the item cards and room consequences could be adjusted to make the game feel less random. Still, this was a solid effort for a game jam and is worth developing further.
